I wonder if it’s a feeling of lack of control over her life. Like, she’s done things that should have gotten her fired. Several times over. And yet, here she is. This strikes me as her testing the boundaries, in a way that is very true to herself. “Well, if I can get away with anything, guess y’all won’t mind if I do this”

When he's in the tank top you can see the removed shirt/vest hanging off his arm (must not have been able to fully remove them because of the handcuffs) - presumably he just got uncomfy or hot and wanted the formal uncomfy stuff to not be restricting him anymore (I would have done the same thing)

Ruth doesn’t seem to worry about the IU administration but Jason can swear out felony-level complaints against her for kidnapping/unlawful restraint. Of course, Ruth’s comment about her potential for homicidal ideation might address the Jason issue. ,

Yeah, should've specified I meant specifically dark humor about suicide. I've heard and told many of these "jokes" and they're pretty much never exactly that.
