This puts me in mind of James Dobson’s ridiculous loophole provision: it’s okay so long as you never think about anyone or anything while you’re engaging (so, purging temptation by physical means), or you’re away from your spouse for an extended period and it’s part of a co-operative activity somehow (cishet marriages only, obvs). It’s the sort of thing which only makes sense if you’re desperate.
