Oooo, I see a couple ships trying to come into port at the same time! This is getting juicy!

Andrew

Sounds like Dorothy has a non-zero concern she is being set up with Joe. Which option does she like less I wonder?

Andrew

Trying to imagine Joe’s txt: “Yo girl, where you at?”

Dan Rabin

Nice progression of Dorothy faces in the borderless panels, with her frown enlarging as she becomes suspicious, then hostile. Joyce, on the other hand, is doing clichéd "Tada! Boyfriend!" gestures, waiting for Dorothy to be overjoyed for her. But when your new boyfriend is your best friend's ex-boyfriend's best friend, maybe things are more complicated than that.

They aren't even boyfriend and girlfriend, and Dorothy's reaction is entirely because of Joyce and Joe's prior history. And knowing the other horndog shit Joe does.

darklion

As Ben Finegold would say, "very suspicious".

Sajuuk-Khar

“Joe. Is this some kind of trick. Is this some kind of low *shenanigan*?”

Omnithea

The "Why" without question marks. Because she already knows.

Andrea Andrew

Maybe Dorothy will finally get to bond with and really get to know Joe for who he really is. Then, after confessing to Joyce, they can actually begin a polyamorous relationship.

Really? I'm getting more of a "This had BETTER not be because you're thinking of dating that reprobate" vibe.

Jayne Lindgren

Can I just say, in a general exasperated way, to the whole room: Shipping wars are annoying. By all means, have a preferred ship! Talk about relationship dynamics and the characters and their growth. Speculate on how a relationship could affect the characters. Say why you think people getting together would be a good (or bad) thing. But for love of the cruel god Willis, please keep the back-and-forth sniping and spam to a minimum. It sucks all the joy out of reading the comments, and makes me dread seeing what are otherwise my favorite characters pop up on-panel every day. I'm not so much (over?)reacting to what's happened so far, as worried about what might happen as this bit progresses. Let's all just try to enjoy the ride, and not become so sure that our idea of how things are going to go is right that it gives us permission to become jerks.

It’s interesting how this is gonna be another test of of Joyce’s friends deal with her changing in ways they don’t expect, and how “good” they think this is for her. Like Dina, Joyce is often infantilized! Just in different ways. Gonna be neat.

I get you. Talking about different ships is fun, but please for the love of god keep it fun.
