For all that I love how trans folks are treated in this comic, would it be so bad for her to meet her sister? Also, Carla's story is nobody else's to tell. I hope Dotty realizes that. There are logistical workarounds to outing people, too.

Joyce meeting Jocelyne would probably be very good for both of them, but Joyce is too wary of family to accept an invitation. Jocelyne has only rebelled in private and rarely defended Joyce against parenting she knew was tyrannical. She couldn't even stand up to John until after Joyce blew up at him. It took Joyce long enough to accept her father's goodwill, and Jocelyne hasn't done as much as Hank did to earn that grudging trust.
