Roz is the star of October's second bonus strip which ironically is the one you DON'T vote on?  Anyway, there's lots of elections here tomorrow (Tuesday) in the United States.  In Ohio, you could get both abortions AND weed!  A twofer!

Carla is just the sort of person who'd show up at a Westboro Baptist Church protest with a boombox to rickroll them

Dean Reilly

That off-colour H would infuriate me enough to get me to vote for the other side all by itself.

A. B. Cianchetti

Becky shows up too, with a sign that says "God is Never Gonna Give You Up"

Fart Captor

You can't fool me, Carla is clearly the star here

Cassie

It's actually an incredibly useful living arrangement because it makes it very easy for Roz to steal Mary's driver's license and student ID the morning of election day and make sure they aren't found until after the period for submitting them for a provisional ballot is passed. No complaining, Mary, your party is the one making sure you couldn't just vote without! (Alternatively, it makes it easy for Roz to 'accidentally' knock her absentee ballot off a table to 'land' underneath her mattress, depending on where Mary's registered to vote.)

Luke T. Shumaker

Mary's from Michigan City, IN. Unless Indiana's improved absentee voting in response to COVID: if she wants to vote in Michigan City instead of Bloomington, it's easier for her to make the 3.5hr-each-way drive to physically vote there than it is to convince the relevant clerk that she qualifies for an absentee ballot. In indiana you only need to have lived in the precinct for 29 days to register to vote there (the law says "more than a month", and I guess the courts have decided that that month is February). So, given that she meets that (she's lived in Bloomington all semester), and how difficult voting in Michigan City would be, she's probably registered to vote locally in Bloomington. Now, in-person early voting in Indiana is solid. And she can use her student ID as valid state-issued ID to vote. And given modern college campuses and how you need your student ID to do things, it'd be pretty difficult for Roz to have it disappear for that long (unless Roz knows that Mary is going to put off voting until election day, and only needs to have it disappear for that 1 day).

They're rewearing clothes because too many driers are broken.

Harold

As does Carla. As, also, does Ruth's outfit.

Harold

Carla's sign does double duty here, as both a comedic addendum to Mary's and an accurate self-description.

Now I want to see this bonus strip

Diane

Good luck Ohio, may the votes be in your favor.

DramaQueen

Wow! I’m from Colorado, I’ve forgotten how difficult they make voting in most places. We voted to make every election a mail-in election years ago! We can drop our ballots off in the official boxes quite early, or vote in person or hand our ballots to volunteers on Election Day. We mail our college kids their ballots, and they can just mail their ballots in from university. It’s a really great system, I recommend it. Makes it so much easier for everyone.

Jay

I'm here dreading how things will go in VA tomorrow 😭

Onyx

Did we know Roz and Mary were roommates and I just forgot it?

Harold

Yes. They have been depicted together in their room numerous times.

Dan Rabin

Is there some significance to the "H" being red that Mary would expect people to understand?

Random832

It's a reference to a real regionally famous billboard in Ohio, on which the H is also red (the rest of the sign is white on a black background), though I don't know if there's a reason for that or if anyone knows why.

Michael Steamweed

My best guess: Fire, blood, and the GOP's primary color?

Pierpaolo Di Camillo

HOORAY!!! Finally a strip about Roz and her relationship with her roommate (nemesis/BFF) Mary! I've waited years for knows what she thinks. But... now I want to know what Mary thinks about her!!!

Moon Goat

Carla Goddess saves the day!!! 😍

Currently live in Colorado. Can confirm, Colorado's system is great. Mailed-out ballots are great, ballot drop-offs are great, the blue book is great. (I do have an issue with the one-line prop descriptions on the ballot, and how they can misrepresent what the proposition is about)

Violet F.

Can confirm. Hell is real and real fun. After all hell is other people, and other people are very fun!;
