While I'll always respect Willis's plans for plots regardless of where they go, I do hope that Sarah and Jacob get together. I want Sarah to have a little love in her life, and they'd be cute together.

That would be good for Sarah but the point is that she can't have that if she isn't willing to be emotionally vulnerable and try to have a genuine bond. (And also the fact they might want different things, Sarah mostly being physically attracted to Jacob and him wanting a more emotional connection).

I hadn't considered this going the way it is, but I have to say I really would like to see Dorothy in a relationship with someone who is a) into things like she is (academics, big plans, etc), and b) isn't someone that she's going to be taking care of (sorry Joyce shippers, that would not be healthy right now, maybe later). From what we've seen of Jacob this semester he knows how to set healthy boundaries, so Dorothy wouldn't be in the caretaker role (like she was in her prior relationships AND is currently in her friend relationships). Oddly enough it might be able to be a healthy pairing. Also, I don't think Joyce is jealous of the idea of Dorothy and Jacob, it is that she is jealous on Sarah's behalf as she REALLY wants Sarah to get with Jacob. I do want to see Sarah with Jacob as well, but much to my unexpected foreseeing surprise, I wouldn't be opposed to Dorothy and Jacob. I have a spot for Dorothy in my heart and I really want to see her stabilize a bit - and have someone to support her.
