David M Willis

I mean, this strip was birthed from "I want to draw Marcie this week for Welcome To The Fuck Zone but I'd like to build some story context," so way ahead of you.

K the Nerd

Glad to see she's sharing some quality time with Malaya. Feel sorry for the model, though

Sam

This explanation is excellent in most respects.

K the Nerd

"And lo, the model did fail to appear. But there was yet one person who might be capable of the mighty task of posing nude… in front of Malaya."

Matt Eldritch

*plays the always sunny in philidelphia theme*

Andrew

The Willis teases us... I too was hoping for a sequel - oh wait I mean I ask for a friend.

Andrew

Thoughts on who the model was? I reckon Mary since she's so often naked in her room anyway - a total exhibitionist right :)

JB

Marcie!!! How I've missed you!

C

How does one sign "Wow, what a lucky coincidence I happened to be walking by while you were looking for volunteers for nude models for art class"? This next page should be fun.

Maude Reads Things

Pffft! Well that explains a lot. That's ONE way to get naked in front of your crush. And glad to see that Marcie's doing okay-ish since the rally. ...This takes place BEFORE the rally doesn't it?

Bagge

SHENANIGANS!!!

Vika

This is just great in evr'y way

Bagge

Ethan's old RA. "I put this uniform on for the federation - now I take it off for you."

Dean Reilly

Or Marcie could get a job as a model at the college and actually get PAID for this.

Maude Reads Things

She may have gotten paid for this day, since the other model didn't turn up.

Maude Reads Things

Also, I realize I say this pretty much every time Marcie shows up but OMG SHE IS SO ADORABLE ouhfdxvcn unfair Marcie

Daniel Adams

Joe, since he modeled in Roomies!

Satyros Phil Brucato

I got my first gig as an artists' model because the model didn't show up. I was working in the graphics lab at college when the instructor of a life-drawing class came in complaining that his model had blown the class off... again. A theatre major at that time, I had several friends who were working as models for the art classes already. It paid a hell of a lot better than the graphics lab, so I asked the instructor,"What do you need, and what time do you need it?" An hour later, I was taking my clothes off in front of strangers for the first time. I paid my way through college that way, and continued to model occasionally when I needed money until my mid-40s.

Satyros Phil Brucato

Oh, yeah: The thing that got me to stop modeling was getting a job teaching at an art college. For obvious reasons, I didn't think that both modeling for classes and teaching classes at the same school was a really good idea. :)
