this is just a little interlude/recap between the ebd of last chapter and the next one, don't worry about suggestions. Next week we'll get back to regular updates!

p.s. thanks to anothermeekone for helping me sort out my notes! you've been a great help!

I was genuinely curious how the head of the facility (the ine controlling the deathvices) would be any issue to deal with- after all, a human wouldn’t be able to resist us at all. But there we are- he was the eyes that remember all along! So on the one hand, we know the deathvices aren’t just going to activate at random- the VOICES want to make us suffer by destroying out friends, sure, but killing them all with a simple device activation just wouldn’t fit into the truthsayer’s playbook. There’s still a chance he might kill SOMEONE just tk make a point, but idk. I imagine he’s much more likely to want to toy with them (and us) instead.

WorgenRouge

Werewolf Jack is obviously the “someone” who interfered, seeing as he made the portal on Gastro in the first place, but what’s his goal here? The end of the world? Or does he think he can control the truthsayer (who now has the powers of the FINGERS and of the EYES, yikes)??? Anyway, thanks for the recap! It helped confirm a few of my theories, and overall it’s just made me even more excited for the comic going forward! See you next week!

Oh one other thing! Based on what we learned in this interlude, it seems like the pink screen, the LOVE, isn’t something we felt for the characters, but something that the VOICES felt for US. Like, when we did certain things (usually sex) while the VOICES were sharing the body with us, it caused the pink screen to happen. And the EYES just made a point of saying how the beings, aside from the VOICES, LOVED us. So joke’s on YOU Truthsayer, you could’ve had as much love and wonderful feelings and “pink screen” as you wanted this whole time if you hadn’t been such a fucking brat all those millennia ago. So yeah, get fucked, you don’t even KNOW what you want, you miserable dumbass. (Tragically he won’t receive any of this but oh well)

Alucardsamsun

I havent the foggiest if the eyes really are dead or if their just fragment and we can bring em back. Hopefully we can, they look sexy and cute. Man... The VOICE sure is chaotic right now. Still hope we can f talk him down from it and combine again, maybe use the heart as leverage ( or, if we must, destroy the heart)

Coffee

Whoever asked for that recap, thank you.

Alucardsamsun

Wow! Never considered that! if this is true then I think all we need to do is get a body and fuck the truthsayer ourselves to solve this problem. The pink feeling should trigger in him as a reaction to us and he'll learn to love us that way I guess.

WorgenRouge

Hmm my concern there is that a) They’re a vengeful violent malicious bastard, so even if we WANTED to help them they’d probably just reject and destroy any attempts; and b) we got the “Love” when we were literally existing in the same body as the truthsayer. The moment that they took control of their own body, they stopped receiving the sensation, and had no access to it until they fused with us once more in the previous update. And now we’re gone again. So they would need to exist in the same body as us again for us to actually give them the pink screen they want, and GOOD LUCK convincing them to bind themselves to our “filthy brains” again. We don’t even know if that’s possible at this point. For the time being, with the screen reformed, I get the feeling that we will only be able to communicate with Gastro (he’s the Portal that the eyes and fingers each mention, or rather Werewolf Jack drew the Portal on him the night before he came to Sagitta) and maybe Pepi (my theory is that Pepi was the portal when shit went down with the voices during HIS lifetime, which is why he can hear and choose not to obey us THIS time around).

Newt

Ok so....We could control people because we had a fragment of the voice, we could mold people cause we had the fingers, but now the voice went crazy and took the fingers with it...How exactly are we going to interact with the story now? if we even deserve to in the first place, we're free falling towards a bad end the way things are going lol. welp. chapter 4 is shaping up to be "Lets hope everyone doesn't get obliterated by an unstoppable eldritch god". The only possible plan of action i could think of would be "awaken the arms that kill to deal with the eyes and fingers" but considering how whacked out the other 2 are that could just end up causing an apocalypse level event to begin with

PK Persona

Thanks for the recap and the new info on EYES. Like Newt I'm kinda scared for everyone though! Looks like VOICE now has FINGERS and has either absorbed/killed EYES. So he might have time manipulation or clairvoyance. And then theres us . . . who might not even be able to interact with anyone until we get ARMS to smash the screen or something! Looking forward to seeing whats up in the new chapter :]

Fe5ter

Does the Commands/Molded we've made as the Voxotaur are still in effect or have they been mooted/voided since The Voice took back control? Worried that the all demons on Level 3 might face retribution from the Lies they've woven.

NethGooRat

Wowie, the worst really did come to pass huh? The VOICE is now all powerful and completely unleashed in this story. So... our plans are unchanged? We still want to free the monsters, and we still want the VOICE dead. The most straightforward way to do that is to get to the HEART before the VOICE gets to the ARMS. The arms are game over. They're asleep, and if they wake up, literally everyone dies. If we get to the HEART and deactivate it or kill it or something, then all these BEINGS lose power, shrivel and die. Only to be reborn, eventually, in our own minds, so we can play with other stories and such. So... our goals are unchanged? But now, we have a plan! Kill the HEART, and stop the VOICES from reaching the ARMS! This Interlude said mostly stuff we already knew, but BOY the new stuff that happened here and that was revealed is super JUICY!!! BOY AM I EXCITED! Especially to find out how we're gonna get back into this story! Will we break the screen again? Will we find some other way to manipulate or guide our monster friends?!? I'm EXCITED!!!
