DAMN I'm so happy the monsters want to stay with us! ;w; now that they're safe we can start WORKING! like VOID said, all the chess pieces are on the board. as I am one of the people inside the zorc king, may I suggest you guys do a few things? if you dont have anything in mind, of course: - we have yet to look inside the Truthsayer's mind and find out what's going on with him or what he really wants - somebody should tell the ARMS that everything has an end, and that is ok. the end is necessary for beauty. happiness is tasteless without sadness and life is meaningless without death. they bring change to the world through the ending of cycles and allow for the renewal of the world. - do we know where Fenris is? if he's a live or dead or anything? - and also have Keth teleport the Kangaroo traitor into the Arms' chamber or into the sun.... geez.

Just actually read the chapter and yeesh, things are really going apeshit. I hope we get some downtime soon because the last time we actually had where us patrons weren’t frantically trying to save/learn/help the monster squad I think was the elevator and even then only a little bit. Yeah all this crazy going on is exciting but it’s also exhausting despite a week being between each chapter.

(The infection isn't the problem at this point, it's the ghosts, whether or not he's got the new strand of the virus he's still at risk of being possessed by the VOICE-controlled spirits. But thinking about how the cure works, it's the metal inside that keeps the FINGERS-made virus away, but would that still work with a ghost inside his body since they're still incorporeal, but are now semi-corporal thanks to the Voxotaur? This is a whole barrel of worms, man)

I did notice at some points in the game Vox would automatically take in information and tell people to hold on while us patrons process the information and come up with a response. It's not a personality but it's interesting to see him act on his own just a little bit.

Well, since the side of our monster friends have gained a bit too much power to the point of making any potential threat pretty negligible, I guess I'll be on the chaotic side and even the scales a bit more. If and when the Voxotaur rewinds time, lets connect Keth with the remaining two traitors telepathically and see if the two of them can't remind him how good being under the influence of the voices feel.

I wasn't around during chapter 3 so I'm not sure but didn't the Voxotaur do what the majority decided? If more people join the Voxotaur again and oppose you then you'll be stuck unable to do anything. It would be beneficial for us if you were to trap yourself in a prison where we could keep your mischief under control.

I guess I just don't see a point. Trying to find Fenrir doesn't seem worthwhile to me. I'm not keen on trying to manage the characters' emotions, either- I just skip those parts when other people do. (I totally understand why other people enjoy it, but it's just noise to me after this long.) I've got no ideas that would affect the course of events in a way that intrigues me; I can't think of any interesting angles to play. I took a long shot on trying to steal some singular influence, but the time for that's over, it seems. And even if I thought of something to say now, I'd probably not get any votes on it as most everyone's going to wait for next week at this point. I probably shouldn't have commented just to say I'm doing nothing, but, I dunno. Not commenting at all felt wrong. Maybe I'm just bitter.

After everything the monsters have been through, to say that a happy ending is too "easy" is ridiculous. What was the point to have all that interaction with the monsters if we're just going to sabotage them so that they fail? We should've just done that from the start if that's what you wanted.

Entering a body is a prison, after we entered the Voxotaur in chapter 2 no one was able to leave until the screen grew back. We just had the ability to control it however we chose. Also, someone is about to join the Voxotaur in the next update.

Ehhhhh, you've thought we were moments away from a bad ending a few times before Derrekk, I think we should trust Blazingcheeks as a writer and the ingenuity of the monsters since they have their own agency. It’s about story structure Cid, not about if we think the monsters deserve a happy ending or not. Everything was exciting and high stakes and then Keth literally got this new McGuffin power one update ago and now we're all suddenly outside on the brink of teleporting all our troubles away, I think it was pretty apt when someone said it was kinda like watching a speedrun abuse a glitch.

The story is gonna end very soon, whether we like it or not. The Truthsayer and the Arms are world ending threats that are on the move and will give the story a bad ending if we dont do anything. We don't need people trying to be the villains 'cuz we already have big enough threats that we have to worry about. I LOVE the story too, but instead of complicating things for us patrons, I'm gonna try and end the story in a way that will make sure the universe continues on when we're gone. Complicating things for other patrons isnt gonna prolong the story, its just gonna lead it towards a bad ending at this point.

I don’t recall the specifics of what you’re talking about Crow but in those cases we probably WERE on track towards a much worse fate- for some individual characters if nothing else. We’ve had a fair number of very near misses. Also this isn’t about trusting BC or not, this is about not putting them into unwinnable situations. I’m confused about your McGuffin comments since we only JUST got it, we’re STILL in a whole lot of trouble, and it certainly won’t be able to solve all our problems (especially the truth sayer)

We've indeed just gotten this power and yet it's already been used twice to render any actual threat moot. Given that and with their acquisition of time bending powers, what exactly about their current situation is any actual threat? Given the comments above, there are already people talking about teleporting the traitor patron into space and for the voxotaur to rewind time on Jack to render him cured of his imminent corruption. Granted these patrons get their way, it's going to make for the most obvious and honestly boring solution.

You can't talk about story structure when you're just trying to artificially create more trouble for the sake of making things difficult. Void joining our cause allowed us to be able to achieve a tangible happy ending. If Keth gets caught then it's game over.

Well... Yes? If it creates at least a bit more of an interesting situation for the monsters to get out of then I don't particularly mind. Then again, I am leaning towards the side of the truth sayer, so trying to skew the scales a bit in their favor should be pretty natural :P Also of course I CAN talk about story structure. Even if my solution wouldn't have been perfect given my assumed allegiance, it doesn't really change my opinion that the current situation would become rather dull if we were to keep resorting to spamming the same option again and again.

If you want to side with the Truthsayer that's fine, but don't try to justify your sabotage as keeping things interesting to prevent spamming the same option over and over again. This is a story where the beings are the most overpowered things you've ever seen. Why aren't you criticizing the Truthsayer for spamming his Voice power or the Fingers power? The only way to go toe to toe with a power like that is to acquire a power that is equally as strong. I don't know what the traitors hope to achieve by letting the Truthsayer win since his goal is to destroy everything.

[Idk there is so much fighting going on between patreons, I don't know... It's just not that fun anymore when everyone wants you ded. Even if you are playing the villain. I tried to listen to some of the other patreons suggestions for the Gorilla and now he's just stuck for it yay... Sarcasm btw... The fight between the Kangaroo and Jack was really cool and him sacrificing himself to save Keth was a heart warming bit showing that he really changed... But now everything is going to be un done with a cheep movie ending trick time travel. I donno a "good" or "bad" ending is not that important to me, as long as it's actually fun or kinky to read. A good story. The comic has all gone from, controlling Sydan to the point where he almost lost his mind, to insanity and back and now here close to the end. Everyone wants it to go their way having no problem messing with characters ...all of them... Through out the story but now that there are things outside of everyones control a greater enemy / threat, everyone suddenly forget all the immoral things they've done that lead up to this point... Villainizing the people playing the villains when they them selves are just as guilty for messing with characters ...you wouldn't do that to actors playing the villain in a movie?... I don't know this is just my 2 cents, I do love the comic even though I'm playing a villain... How does that make me different from all of you?]

From what I understand, they're totally different forms of control. In one you're controlling the mind, and in the other the body. Commands with the voice use the VOICE of course, and commands through the virus ise the FINGERS. But the virus is a subdued version of the FINGERS power so... I'm not sure. I never want to be in a situation where I have to contest commands from the different sources, because I don't know. I'd say it's the virus, cuz it's not only the fingers but also the innate power of subject 9. Regardless he has no eardrums anyways, so it doesn't matter.

I legitimately believe everyone is so angry at each other because they like the story so much. And everyone realizes that its coming to a close: all the chess pieces are on the board, we have world ending powers at every corner and our monsters are safe but still want to help. Even the VOID plainly said it. Us patrons are divided into two camps: the ones that dont want the story to end, and want to risk things on prolonging the story, and the ones that dont want to risk anything and prefer to tie the story with a neat bow, no loose ends and a pretty finish. The pretty finish might be unsatisfying, but it'll be good and it preserves the integrity of the story and the universe! And trying to complicate the story to try and make it continue obviously will make it more interesting, but it might just end regardless, in an equally unsatisfying manner... I just wish we patrons had a buffer... like, a character we could run our commands through, but they would choose whether they went through or not. (which, spoilers, is what I'm trying really hard to accomplish)

Give people thier say and don't lash out if you disagree, we're not currently controlled by a "buffer" and it's way to close to the end to try and force it into one now. Why I'm not criticizing the truthsayer about spamming? Mostly because he hasn't really been spamming all that much and IS the main threat of this whole story that y'know... creates the challenges for our heroes to overcome? If the only conundrum for our heroes is whether to send their enemies to saturn or neptune then it's not a particularly interesting choice to make. Honestly though my problem isn't so much spamming the power but because the power itself is just too spammable with no real weakness. The fingers and voice? Well you can already see that if the subject can't hear or be touched by them, then they're basically useless. The power of teleportation doesn't have that kind of weakness or any real one from what I can see. If there was some sort of question of stamina with the ability like with the eye, it would make for some more interesting choices in at least when to use it. Also you can try and throw away my argument by calling it justification but that doesn't change that I still think this would be a boring way for the heroes to overcome their challenges. No matter what team I'm on wont change that.

Honestly I'm not really sure how multiple people inside the Voxotaur would work. Back then it was a vote whether to enter him as well after all. Buuuut nobody can really be sure other than BC on this I'd imagine.

Hmm yeah, from what I could see in the previous update, I believe it was mentioned that it was the absorption of multiple infected zorcs that left the gorilla drone susceptible to commands. I can't speak for how much infection these traitor drones might have currently though

When you have power you use it, you don't contemplate 'Hmm I've used this already, so I won't use it again cause it'd be boring'. I'm assuming based on your dislike for power that is overpowered you hate the Heart and Arms too. They don't have clear weaknesses and trivialize most conflict. If you dislike Voids power so much find out its weakness and act on it. I bet the idea of an Eyes and Heart combo that the Truthsayer wanted to get his hands on is ok because he's the villain right? The villain can do whatever it takes to win but the heroes can't I guess.

I would like to add my two cents , if not too late: Addressing Keth: *After my speechI create a REACTIVE illusionary bubble around Keth/Void that forbids any kind of perception of Voxotaur or anything resembling and tracking its origins to him. A dire situation , like forced contact, will bring huge feeling of pain.* - Keth, you are now under the curse , effects of which you'll soon discover, and may lift it only under certain conditions that are different for all parties involved. You're now unable to form any correspondence with "Voxotaur" or anyone speaking in his name, until next conditions are met : Red must use his magic to ensure Luck in my future plans and you , my precious little demon, must bring Legion's body double back dead or alive , leaving anything that was alien in his system aside. And finally, tell me when does your true affection towards Voxotaur truly began? Edit: Since I forgot about a rule one character per command, I delete my line to Legion and add that conditions of the "curse" could be altered, if I would find it appropriate. (P.S. The heart only really has one purpose that would make it overpowered and that is being combined with the eyes and is likely a combination we won't be seeing regardless. Also since we haven't seen that much of the arms I can't say too much but I assume it has a weakness similar to the fingers. As for your last point, I very much want the heroes to do anything in their power to come out on top, but can you honestly, HONESTLY say that getting a magic fix it all ability to render any threat moot is more interesting than seeing the characters using their own guts and wits to overcome their challenges? Eh... I at least can't

The characters can't use their guts and wits to win when there is zero chance they win without outside help. Jack sliced that Kangaroo in half and it did nothing. If they speak to you, you're done. If they touch you, you're done. There is no other way to win but with this new power. The power disparity between those who use the power of a being and those who don't cannot be overcome with determination alone. I understand what you're trying to say but can you name even one feasible way for the guys to win without Void and us helping?

As for your questions, i will answer them , starting from the most difficult for to explain. - Concerning riddle for the Patrons, well , it's simple. After hearing names of those entities , like Heart that nourishes, i immediately remembered one piece of poetry that resonates perfectly with this adventure. And it describes very well where we all end up with this sort of actions. But that's enough hints. Talking about Keth and chapter #3, yeah, I've read it and it left me suspicious about this whole affair. While i don't doubt Keth sincerity, we might have not t left him any choice in the matter. Although you must remember that i am but an imperfect judge , so answer might also be imperfect. It's not supposed to be easy for, but you could always reread it. Finally, on my agenda, you could call it a blackmail. Yes, it's that simple.

We told Keth that we would protect him and free him on top of just removing his actual shackles. We said he meant the world to us and treated him like royalty, while we ruined the minds and bodies of others around us... when he told us to stop, we did, until we couldn't. I still think he's shackled in a way, but in his mind we did free him. He just doesnt see that he's enslaved to us... which is something we need to take care of. ((Phew! Just finished reading the entirety of Monster Smash after subscribing. I'm probably late here, but I think this development might be an opportunity for us to gain more insight regarding Jack and the Voice that Commands. Exciting! What a lovely world and characters!
