My thinking is that when the gods ate zenion his sympathetic corporeal aspects were forced on them, to take his power while averting those consequences they dumped the inconvenient parts on the godspawn like Milo. Both Cherry and Milo have aspects of zenion, Milo has his cock and Cherry his blood (the taint). A connection between them would explain the similarity in their hypno powers and Cherry's immunity to Milo's cock fanaticism.
