the ring of the stars is growing in power, time to choose a boon from one of those who reside beyond the screen-

a recap of what each consists of: 

the eyes: the ringbearer gains the ability to discern truth and lies, and the ring can analyze other creatures' stats (within range)

the arms: the ring will be harder to break, and the ringbearer can transform the ring into simple weaponry

the heart: the ringbearer can live longer without food or sleep and the ring won't need to syphon its surrounding for magic to cast small spells and creations

the fingers: the ringbearer gains more control of their physical forms, and anything created with the ring's magic will last longer

the void: ???

the voice: ringbearer can exert their will more easily over others, but anyone without the ring around him will have a harder time resisting ANY mental influences.

I really wanna see what void can do now that we can use his effects in isolation, even though having the powers of the fingers, heart or voice would be very useful or tempting to have. Plus having mind altering effects again, when two of our biggest threats favorite methods of subjugation is mind alteration could be... Not great? So I'm hesitant on the voice.

speaking from personal experience: anything that isn't the Finger or Voice will result in the least amount of chaos and most likely best outcomes. I think V O I D has BY FAR the coolest possible outcomes, especially when we consider the mysterious nature of Wolf's Ruin and Cherry's Stain.

Let me put it like this. Against illusion, deception, disguises, espionage, research, secrets, mind control, or hidden things - like the gods at one point and SEVERAL spies or beings with ulterior motives - What protection or tools do we have against that all? Its what our characters have been suffering the most or facing up against as to straight up battles or any issue from lack of supplies. Everything else the team of characters or we have equivalent to already Heart? Cleric and us healed Cherry from near death! We can make plenty of items and no one but Dom seems to be low on stamina and endurance or deterimination. Arms? Kurt and Wolf plus some back up held up to Margaret plus we could supply equipment and buffs or hexes to help. The only things attacking our ring have been our bearers or a being who has infinite strength anyway. Stop antagonizing one and don't invest against the other for a poor solution that cannot work. Fingers? We could supplement any effect or items or changes on a lesser scale with the right coordination between our votes and the characters trust, which we need to regain. That boon could do so as grant them power over form by their will. But we could also..just... work with their consent and stuff. We don't need more MC that ALSO weakens the rest of the party to ANYONE ELSE'S' influences (especially when all have been compromised already without said weakness on party and not had trouble pressing if try.) especially after the halo attack. Going without any individual pick IS risky until we might get another chance. Having the bearers have the capacity from a boon at their disposal without effort on our part beyond this investment means "mid picks" are best. That is to say giving them something that has to be done, but if securely resolved for the future can act as if safe from the threat or complication without cutting into our limited action economy each update That benefit, defensive preventative preparation, clears the way for more high yield actions as our bases are covered. As to having to take action for beginning setup or provide remedy and mitigation to what already done. (Refer Piggening) Intelligence and investigation wise? We're pretty naked and vulnerable. The Eyes should have it All the rest are unsure, redundant, or negative. Redundant ain't bad. I am tempted by fingers and can see the value in The Heart. But We need insight, comprehension and truth amongst the party. Especially with all the disinformation going on.

Fingers. Out of all the things that have happened, empowering the characters has met with the most success AND who doesnt want to see beefy horny beasts? It enhances a practicality without the risk of it falling into someone else's hands being disastrous. Remember, Curly CAN hear the ring. Eyes grant too much knowledge against a group that relies on wit and guile, arms while technically practical, is accomplished by ring powers or whatever improvised weapon (and anything can be a weapon given the right context/force) is nearby, heart is a much weaker version of ring of sustenance without any real pizazz, void is a complete unknown but likely powerful, voice is the most dangerous (removing free will or weakening when the characters can be subdued mentally MULTIPLE times is unwise AND can be used against them passsively)

Based on what we know about magic, the Heart is the standalone winner for me here. It's the one thing that bypasses what is a pretty major setback in the world.
