here's the boards for my upcoming short CAPTAIN YAJIMA! featuring PROFESSOR GENIUS

yes, it's quite long 😂😂😂 we'll see how long it takes to animate

this is all gonna be in the faux-stop-motion style I used for Dried Up Old Bones, although leaning more '70s than '60s aesthetic-wise

here's some more concept art (see previous post for more details)

FEATURING PROFESSOR GENIUS it's missing some music and sound effects, but here's most of it!

Twistwood

Oh my days, i love it. Already invested.

my tip jar

Just watched the first 2min as to not spoil myself but I'm already laughing, the voice actors are great!

Jacob Marks

Oh this is gonna be amazing!!! How are you planning on animating the mouths? Is it still going to be in the style of Rankin/Bass cartoons where it almost looks like a puppet?

ElkieSelkie

This is so rad! I can't wait for this, it's going to be excellent!

Anna Waters

DOOOOPE yeah only watched half now. The voice acting is top of the line

Marty Hernandez

might b getting a bit ahead of things, but were u planning on doing a season of this, or is the "next time on ___" like a reference/gag ? either way, it looks sick !! looking forward to the finished product :-)

Worthikids

yes, the cliffhanger's just a fun homage! if the video does well I may consider making a sequel however

Nicholas Marotta

I love the writing! That was hilarious. I thought for sure this was going to be 2d animated because of how long it is, but I just read your description that it'd be faux stop motion and pooped my pants. so excited

Nicholas Marotta

I really like the 'any enemy of my enemy is my... enemy!' twist

kenko panda

I love this so much 💗

Dunte Carson

This would make a great Tokusatsu series.

Izogi

I have never been more excited- omg . . this is gonna be KILLER!!!!!!!

Mared Jones

I’ve never girded my loins so much before now

Julia Brigolin

I'm already in love with them all. Such endearing characters that I won't be forgetting anytime soon!! So excited, Worthi!!!! I especially love the opening with their names and close ups

Ben Cloutier

This is my favorite thing you've done yet! I'm so excited to see it all finished!!

ROBBERY

DUDE THIS RULES!!!

Jake Doubleyoo

HELLA YEAH STOPMOTION. For a while now I've thought it would be cool to make shows in the style of stopmotion, and you've proven that concept with flying colors.

Rev Storm

This is so faithful to the style and humor of anime of that period, I love it!!

Trent Hutson

This feels like a mashup of Bobobo and Cowboy Bebop. Cowboy Bobobo. Cowbobobo Bebop. Cowbobobop. Perhaps even something more clever than anything I just said. Point is, I LOVE IT. Zoga is a perfect character.

Alonso Rojas

Loved it, that was so funny, can't wait to see it completed. The making-of is going to be epic too! So exited!

Nicholas Hausmann

Really love the music! The storyboards were fantastic as well, so expressive with clear poses and emotions.

MossClaws

I’ve watched this so many times I’m so invested haha!!!

Munmipu
