I just got five notifications in a row for this. I guess Kat’s really excited it’s ready! Edit: it’s because she released five episodes. I’m an idiot. :)

Thomas Yanez

Please, I beg the rest of the patrons, don't give any spoilers in the form of anticipating certain episodes. You know what I mean. Just let it happen...

Wendy McIntyre

Really looking forward to this, thanks kat

It's weird (to me, at least) how nobody ever seems to notice that the second character they meet is Theo - when Steve exits his room at the beginning and speaks to a young girl, he even names her "Theo". And the dad names the sleeping girl as "Shirl". Even when the reactor has subtitles on (Kat did here, I believe, because at one point she echoed "footsteps stop"), they still wonder who "Theo" is at first.

Yay! I'm so glad you're watching this! Mike Flanagan is one of my favorite people working in horror nowadays(he even just got hired to make the next THE EXORCIST movie, because the last one did so bad they figured they needed someone to right the ship). This show is great, as are some of his other shows (Haunting Of Blye Manor[my favorite!], Midnight Mass, and Fall Of The House Of Usher) and his movies (Oculus, Gerald's Game, Hush, and Ouiga: Origin Of Evil).

Eddie Perkins

I have never seen any of these, just the two movies. But the first five episodes have been great, and I can't wait to watch the last five with you.

Anton Hennicker

Top, boss watch Kat. Love the switch from horror horrific to....nice loft!! The real joy of this series. 🙂

laurax22

Yes!!! I absolutely love this show!Cannot wait to check out all of your reactions!

BJ Stephens

I am so glad you decided to give this show a shot. I myself am not a huge fan of horror in general, but this is so good, not just in the horror aspect, but just as an amazing TV show period. BTW Kat, as much as I enjoy seeing your horror reactions, if you ever wanted to branch out and do some reactions to other genres (comedy/drama/etc) I'd be all for that!

OneOfTheGoodGuyz

I haven’t seen any of these either. There’s two movies as well? Dang it. I’ve been living under a rock.

BubblyRainbows

I harassed you early on in your channel on YouTube about whether or not you'd ever consider doing a horror series like this one (or "The Haunting of Bly Manor) because I really wanted to see your reaction to it. Then I just randomly peeked at your Patreon the other day to see what movie was coming up (since most reactor's Patreons are a couple days ahead at least) and saw five episodes of one of my favorite series of all time posted just a few days ago? Talk about lucky timing! How could I not join the Patreon so I could watch along? I mean... seriously! Missing your reactions to this would have been the REAL horror of this month! So glad you'll be watching the rest of this series. I'm looking forward to binging the next four episodes with you right now! Small side note: I was tickled by your apparent glee at some queer content being included in the episode. Just wanted to point out really quick that you may want to eventually check out the three "Fear Street" movies. They each have a date associated with them, but I only remember the third date off the top of my head, for the third movie, "Fear Street 1666." (I think the first and second might be 1994 and 1978 or something? I'm too lazy to look right now) But it's a horror trilogy, includes some queer content, and you might enjoy it.

While, in my opinion, this in no way compares as an adaptation to the 1963 movie The Haunting, this is still a good horror series. I think it's still really well written and really unnerving. This is a great start. Can't wait to watch the rest.

Jeb Manning

I think it'd definitely be cool to see you react to The Haunting after you get finished with this series.

Erik Kuhnle

The series is loosely based on the book, and that is really the only connection to the 1963 movie. There really shouldn't be any comparison otherwise.

sparrowNshy

I'm SO SO excited that you're watching this!! My spouse and I have been hoping you would and have been loving your reactions so far!!

Byron

I joined to watch this (again) with you all the way through. This was my first real foray into horror and it was terrifying and amazing and got me hooked. I’ve watched it at least half a dozen times and it’s one of the few series that just never gets old. I can’t wait to watch the rest of this with you. I love your reactions and really want to see how you enjoy this special series.

Ana Fox

This is crazy! I'm so happy you're watching this. You always reminded me of Kate Siegel (Theo), and this show has the perfect mix of scary and heartfelt, so you couldn't have picked better. I hope Mike Flanagan becomes a recurrent director on this channel!

HeyHeyJK

Okay, having watched the cut down episode 1 reaction I had to up my pledge so I can watch the rest in full length. I love this show so much and love watching other people discover it. Here's hoping you'll watch some of Mike Flanagan's other shows after this, especially "Midnight Mass" and "The Haunting of Bly Manor" (more queer representation in that one you'll really appreciate). Oh, and "The Fall of the House of Usher", too, which was Mike's last series.

Tristan Cox

I love this series. Your a fabulous reactor. Your so genuine.

Dezerae Buford

Out of.. literal hundreds of reactors that I watch, you are the first person I’ve IMMEDIATELY joined Patreon for because of this series! You are THE BEST!

Willow

This was a really fun reaction to watch, even though I'm also like wishing I could give you a pillow or a cat or something to hide behind during those scarier moments! Looking forward to watching the next one when I get the chance. Absolutely worth joining in to get to see the full thing <3

Daniel Joseph Brewer

I am just blown away by your reactions and your analysis of films. That was why I joined Patreon soon after finding your channel. In addition to Haunting of Hill House, you have got to watch The Fall of the House of Usher!! It's got Carla Gugino, just like HoHH. And it is phenomenal!!! Keep the reactions coming!!

Nowhere Man

This is an outstanding show, as well as the other one with the similar title. The young girl actress ends up playing the child in M3GAN. She's one of the most convincing child actresses I've ever seen. Kat, you are just not built for horror. And this isn't the usual jump-scare and bloody-gore horror either. This is all creep and shadows.
