HeyHeyJK

Not going to be able to watch the full reactions for a few hours but had to jump right that jump scare, which might be the greatest one of all time. I was lying flat on my back on my couch when I first saw this episode and jumped so much it felt like I was going to hit the ceiling. So happy I get to watch you finish watching this masterpiece of a series.

Yannis Pappas The Almost Cyclopsis

I love how the whole series elder Hugh was apprehensive and always stammering. Then once he saw the 5 cans he went full assertive dad mode. I'm surprised you stayed in your seat for the ultimate jump scare. I saw that laying on my couch and I had to pause the show and get up and walk around 🤣

That jump scare hit everyone with a closed fist. Like, it was not even playing.

What other movie or show follows one of the scariest (and so f-ing EARNED) jump scares with one of the most devastating monologues of all time? Oooofff!

BubblyRainbows

I am generally immune to jump scares. I would be a disappointing reactor to horror movies because I don't scare easily. But the jump scare in this episode... I have to respect that. Not just because it was so epic that it even got me to scream the first time I saw it (and that NEVER happens), but because there was purpose and meaning behind it. It wasn't just a random loud noise and something suddenly popping into frame. There was actually a story reason behind it. I love that about this episode. And then we get an even more amazing monologue from Theo, and it felt so earnest and so heartfelt that I somehow went from genuinely scared to heartbroken in the space of a dozen seconds. This is just such a fabulously written, directed, and filmed show, and I'm still so glad that you're watching it. A horror reaction channel just wouldn't feel complete without this and "The Haunting of Bly Manor" on it eventually. One final thing: The first time I saw this show, I was thinking what you were at the end. How is the house going to defend itself? NO SPOILERS HERE. When Luke dropped the lighter and the fire spread and then immediately went out, I was convinced that it was just a trick. I thought the house actually was on fire, and that Luke wouldn't realize it and would end up stepping into the flames and getting hurt that way, and then he (or someone) would have to put out the fire to save him. That was just my thought at the time. Whether I was right or not, I won't say, but that bit at the end where Luke gets grabbed sure makes it look like I was off in my assumption.

I never get surprised by a jump scare. I am a horror movie nut....I was born October 25th and I've surrounded myself with horror, haunted houses and anything creepy my whole life. I absolutely love it. I gotta say...I freaked the hell out at that Jumpscare. It might be the best one I've ever seen... honestly. I love your reactions to this show! Now check out Mike Flanagan's other 4 horror shows on Netflix. They are all great!

The reason Theo couldn't feel anything when she touched Nell's body, is because she'd been embalmed and if you remember, they showed Shirley removing her organs. There was nothing left inside her, which is why Theo felt nothing. I didn't like seeing you cry, but it was inevitable. Everyone does at some point. I'm glad it was Theo's character that brought on the waterworks, because Kate Siegel's my favorite actress......AND she's gorgeous. Keep that box of tissues handy, cuz you're probably gonna need them again. One more thing. I don't usually watch reactions to movies I haven't seen yet, because I end up paying more attention to the movie than the reaction, which is why I'm watching in the first place. I've seen The Haunting of Hill House, but it's so engrossing I found myself paying more attention to the show, than to YOU. So now I gotta watch it AGAIN! 🙄😉 See ya soon!✌

That was such a strong jolt of a jump scare followed by the most heartbreaking monologue. It always hits deep. My heart broke double because you were hurting too.

Nowhere Man

Isn't this show incredible, how it can make doorbell ringing and knocking so terrifying?
