This was so much fun! "Nothing to be scared of down here... except a little athlete's foot..." HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA Also I love the theory. It is so much better than my theory that the screenwriter got stoned and confused. I think you should watch Part IV, if only for Crispin Glover's dancing. Plus, it's an actual ending to the series! Like a proper full stop! But then they kept on going anyway. You do not have to do this. Stop at IV is my recommendation, although Part VI is at least funny. As for Nightmare on Elm Street, Part 2 is terrible It's just awful. BUT however comma it has LGBTQ sub-text which makes it historically important horrorwise. However, still a terrible movie in all other ways. Part 3 is actually very good, and New Nightmare very clever, but from there you can skip all the others and go straight to Freddy vs Jason. This is purely my opinion. Loving your theory. Looking forward to the next one.

Part 2 of Nightmare on Elm Street is unique. It's got a big following in the LGBT+ community and it's very campy. That said you can watch one and skip to 3 as 3 continues on from the original. Halloween 3 is the same way.

I didn't know you watched Part 2! Have to go find that first! I hope you'll eventually watch all of these! We have the whole collection on DVD, and I haven't watched most of them since the first time I saw them when I was 11. I'm ready to rewatch the whole series with you. And the remake if you want!

You know it’s bad when even Kat gets pissed off by Shelley (but he’s forever legend for introducing the hockey mask) 😂 LOVED that you experienced it in 3D! Your joy was palpable.

I enjoyed this because you did, but I could think of so many other great horror movies I would watch before returning to this: Planet Terror 2007, Silver Bullet (1985), Slither (2006), Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), and all the Universal Classics. I'm glad you did Frankenstein, but The Bride of Frankenstein is better. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) is the first horror movie to win an Academy Award for Best Actor. I just thought I would mention that.

Brilliant Kat, great watchalong and sooo happy you got to watch this flick in 3-D. Glad you enjoyed it. I would deffo watch Part 4 if I were you, but then I'm biased 'cause love all the Friday the 13th films, 'espec Freddy v Jason. You're right, from the moment Chris got into the canoe the dream sequence began, until the Police arrived the next morning. Also, yes Jason is a demonic soul, which is probably best explained in Jason Goes to Hell (no spoilers!) Also you're spot on, according to our friends at Wikipedia, "the patellar tendon is a ligament that connects the bottom of the kneecap (patella) to the top of the shinbone (tibia)." So now we know !........

I really had lots of fun on the watch along Kat . I watched it in 2D . But I did see it in the theater in 3D when it was released. Other than the first one my enjoyment of this series depends on my mood . I would suggest watching the 4th one eventually.

you probably need to upgrade the membership. not worth imo. every other reactor has the movie playing. with this reactor i have to find my own movie and match it up with the time stamp...

This is still tied as the best between part 2 and part 4 for me. It's definitely Jason at his most villainous. He kills a pregnant woman, his kills are more brutal, and there's also the horrifying implication that Jason raped Chris in her flashback. I also find Shelley as a character fascinating. Someone who's insecure like him will sadly find it easy to lash out and do stupid pranks to get attention. If it's positive attention, he's happy. If it's negative attention, it just reaffirms his insecurity. Kudos to Chris too. She's one of the best Final Girls in the series. I'm really interested to see you do the next one. Especially since the next Friday the 13th is smack dab in the middle of december. Right in the Christmas season. Great reaction 🙂
