This was SO MUCH FUN. Almost didn't make it through that one scene... you know the one.

I haven’t had a good custard in years!

Daniel

The custard scene is the worst, but all the slop in this movie has a certain custardy-creamy texture to it...and somehow it's charming? Also, I love that Peter Jackson made the Lord of the Rings trilogy less than a decade after he made this.

Richard Taylor, the 4 time Oscar winner for effects from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, did the creature/gore effects.

You know, a fun one like Re-Animator is From Beyond. It has a lot of the same cast and special effects crew, and it's really, really gross. Plus it's also a Lovecraft adaptation. Just food for brains. Thanks, Kat, your vids are always fun.

I like my horror movies with a little more blood 🤪 🩸 I can deal with blood, but pink puss is where I draw the line.

ı cant watch the video that you watched, even though ı bought 10 dolar tıer, it has timeline on it and the sound is gone and its blurry, is there anyone who knows why?

Dave_Dot_Executable

You gotta have your own copy of the movie to watch along with. The timeline is so you can sync your copy with Kat's copy.

irem

ı thought every creator was watching it on screen since ı watched with nick and cory but guess not, thx for answering

If you're doing body horror, PLEASE do The Substance. I would love your reaction to the gore AND the story.

YAYYYY you watched a New Zealand horror movie!! This is set in Wellington which is where I live! I have to tell you that the city no longer looks like this, it is indeed set in the 1950s. Wellington no longer has trams, so you are quite right, the trams in this movie are models created by Peter Jackson himself just because he LOOOOOVES this stuff. However, most of the creatures and zombies in this film were created by Richard Taylor and his partner Tania Rodger who are the creative geniuses behind the Weta Workshop. They are now world famous due to their work with Peter Jackson on Lord of the Rings and you can tour their workshop here in Wellington and see the Sumatran Rat Monkey! I think you would approve of Richard and Tania, Kat. Apparently, Richard gave Tania rats early on in their romance and she loved having them hang out on her shoulders and hide in her hair. This movie definitely has a very Kiwi sense of humour, mixing the boring and everyday with the fantastical and bizarre. If you enjoyed this please watch The Frighteners - another Peter Jackson movie that also stars Michael J. Fox. A Canadian in a Kiwi horror movie! How can you NOT?
