That reaction to the drawstring pants line was priceless. Glad that you eventually got your confusion sorted from watching the episodes out of order. That must've been jarring. The woman who played Kristin was David Duchovny's real-life girlfriend at the time of filming. Sad to see that Californian wildfires are still a thing today, though. A lot of people hate this episode, seeing as how it seems like Mulder hooks up with the first pretty lady that gives him the time of day as soon as Scully's out of the picture, but it's grown on me over the years. This episode shows you exactly how adrift Mulder is without a solid partner to trust. True, he's still going to make the same maniac choices when Scully's there, but at least he has someone to pull his bacon out of the fire. This time, he just got lucky.

So.. about 12 yrs ago I got really really sick and no one could figure out the what it was.. and a few of the symptoms were my iron was depleting at a rapid rate and I was having blisters and lesions when exposed to sunlight for more the 15 minutes.. Anyway the specialist ordered a battery of tests and blood tests testing for everything.. to try and figure out why I was so sick.. Anyway I asked her what she was testing me for.. she went down the list and she got to.. Porphyria.. I burst out laughing... That must have been a sight to see.. I was weak and deathly white and gaunt.. I looked like a vampire probably... Just laughing at her.. I was like.. for real they have a test for that?? She was surprised I knew what that was.. I was like u think I am a vampire??? And continued to giggle.. Well the test came back negative I am not a vampire.. I was actually a little disappointed.. that would have been cool.. but being a fan of this show since I was like 9yrs old.. u learn cool things like what Porphyria is
