have you just abandoned horror altogether? really feels like its a rarity around here lately. and when it is horror-ish, it's obviously older stuff you've had in the can for awhile. of course it's your channel and you can do as you please. I would just hope - if you'd made the decision to chase after bigger numbers or whatever .... with more popular mainstream content ... that you'd let your horror-based fans know, honestly. because we're always hoping for horror. and seeing stuff like this, and the Fast and the Furious... well, it kinda feels like our time is up :-(

Henry Hill used to call in to the Howard Stern show back in the day. He was always super drunk. Maybe being wasted all the time is what finally drove Karen away.

You know, Dances with Wolves was pretty good. Quite good I guess. Pretty good, anyway. The fact that it won best picture that year over this however, is beyond absurd and for me the first time it was glaringly obvious that box office had a lot of control over award shows.

I love that your branching out. I want to be Jimmy2 times, I love my Patron/my Patron. RIP Mr. Liotta. Other Classics are Field of Dreams/Cocaine Bear. Get well soon Kat.

The actress you were asking about is Lorraine Bracco. She's most famous for this role and playing Tony Soprano's therapist in The Sopranos. If you want drama, The Sopranos (or Mad Men by the same writer) is it.

RJ Inkglider

I think this was Scorsese's masterpiece. Virtually every Italian actor who's ever been in a mob show or movie was in this film, including several people from The Sopranos. Sadly I don't think James Gandolfini was acting yet, but by the same token, Sopranos might have gone to someone else if he'd been discovered earlier. It's truly tragic how young he was when he died. Only 51.

RJ Inkglider

This was his crowning achievement of his career. Any actor would have made a deal with the devil to get this role.

RJ Inkglider

It's not the box office as much as Hollywood politics. Especially today. One Battle After Another bombed but still won best picture.

RJ Inkglider

She's done horror for 3-4 years straight. it's not an infinite genre and Kat is branching out. I'm glad for her and for us. She said in a prior livestream that she was going to branch out eventually. I think it was last year.

Would be interesting to check out My Blue Heaven which is kind of an unofficial sequel to Goodfellas. Both are based on the same book and was written by Nora Ephron who was married to the writer for Goodfellas.

Hey Kat, this was so fun to watch w you! I love the fact that you are doing non horror movies. Love it. This was a great movie to see. Also, you would love Casino even more. Helluva ride that movie. Looking forward to your next flick Thanks Kat.

He was a 15 year old kid. How would he not appear dorky?

Hmm - first time I also have a preblem posting a comment here....

KAT - what do You mean - WHY?? Because - You got to wack everybody. Those are not nice people. They are scum. What You need to watch is "Casino" from 1995. Trust me. Great movie. Thing is - all of those "mob" movies are the same. From "Godfather" through "Casino" to "Heat". By "the same" I mean You know right from the start how all of this will go down. Still I recommend all of those and "Donnie Brasco". Regards.

If you like long shots with complex staging, you've really got to watch Children of Men. It's a dystopian near-future in the UK when human fertility has dropped to zero for the past 17 years. No one knows why and society has started to collapse. Utterly spellbinding story. Clive Owen, Michael Cane, Julieanne Moore, Chiwetel Ejiofor(Backrooms guy). Great film.

If you want to check out more Scorsese, I absolutely recommend Shutter Island. It's a really dark mystery thriller, and it might be my favorite Scorsese flick.

The old lady, funny at the wedding, playing Tommy’s mother, is actually Scorsese’s mom.

The 63rd annual Academy Awards were dominated by Dances With Wolves, though Goodfellas got a lot of noms, and Pesci did win Best Supporting for his role as Tommy. It garners a LOT of discussion! 🤣

Matt Blanchette

The painting was an actual painting she'd done! From a magazine photo. :-D And Vinny the cook in prison was Scorsese's dad!
