ANOTHER ZOMBIE MOVIE YOU SAY?? DON'T MIND IF I DO!!!

Comments

Josh Link

This is probably my favorite non-Romero zombie movie.

Tony Rossell

This is NOT a zombie movie! They are not zombies!

Jeb Manning

One of the best zombie movies where technically they aren't zombies. Just a great disturbing horror movie and one of the best apocalyptic movies ever.

Jeb Manning

If I were to recommend another zombie movie, I'd recommend Lucio Fulci's Zombie movie simply titled Zombie. It's one of the best zombie movies out there.

Asshole

You could always do Evil Dead II 🤠

JayL@jayl3002

Yeah, definitely can't wait til you inevitably get to the Evil Dead series. Maybe even the show? I'm still pushing for Savaged/Avenged. But Evil Dead for sure.

Squ33ky

Yes Cillian Murphy is great in Oppenheimer but I truly believe this was his best performance

Squ33ky

technically it really is according to Garland.. its his interpretation and makes it more realistic. moie basing the breakout on Rage...So it is just a different form of zombie.. and one that is in more line of the actual definition that was around way before Romero changed it to his type. Then there are the voodoo version i.e Serpent and the Rainbow... It is Subjective anyhow.. all good and a Great movie this was

Tony Rossell

Just because he said it is doesn't mean he's right. It's not a zombie movie and I'll die on that hill!

Asshole

I don't get your argument, lol. How is it not a zombie movie?

Tony Rossell

Because there are no zombies in it. No zombies =not a zombie movie

JayL@jayl3002

I agree with you. Well, Peeky Blinders was great the first 3 seasons I watched. I never got around to finishing, he's a great actor but 28 Days Later was so exceptional and so much of that was because of his believability and that high octane, grab your own ass, and hold on ending is all him.

Eddie Perkins

This was good. You should think about Evil Dead II next or Terrifier.

Jeff

Not sure about either. Give her some of the good stuff like Exorcist III or Legend of Hell House.

Eddie Perkins

Exorcist III is good if we are going to go back, she should watch some o the great classics like Frankenstein 1931, The Bride of Frankenstein 1935, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde 1932, The Wolf Man 1941, Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1956 and 78, And I love Stephen King's Silver Bullet. and The Dead Zone.

King of Halloween

Hey Horror Peeps! I never watch the full reactions. How are you guys doing it? What the best way to “technically” watch the movie and Kat’s reaction at the same time?

JayL@jayl3002

Hey Kat, not sure if you remember we talked about Doctor Who 'cause I thought the little guy in your corner looked like the 12th Doctor and how you should start watching. Well, that super heroic and very noble Captain who wasn't at all creepy is the 9th Doctor. The first actor to play him in the reboot. I don't know if that makes you want to watch the show now more or less.

ManHind SteamCushion

I typically watch the movie on the TV and set up my phone with the full-length reaction between me and the screen, so I can glance back and forth easily. It can take a couple of pauses to get the timing right between the two streams, but it's a lot easier now that Kat has included the "fuzzy screen counter" in the lower corner of the reaction.

King of Halloween

So this is what I tried and it may seem ridiculous but I put on my AirPods turned to the movie on the TV and then I put my over the ear headphones over the AirPods set to my iPad with the reaction playing. It gets to hot wearing the over the ears. And my wife doesn’t care about hearing horror blasting on the TV. Yeah, I like it loud. Still thinking of other ways to do this. Maybe someone needs to create an app built specifically for this kind of thing!

Jay_delachance

I have a desktop PC that's near enough to my TV to have a wired HDMI connection, with Kat's reaction in full screen and the movie in a small window in the corner, just like she has it on her Youtube vids. You could also do the same thing with any laptop with HDMI output, which wouldn't require you to have a mouse and keyboard attached as with a desktop PC. Not sure about tablets or phones as I try to avoid them for this kind of thing as I find them less flexible than PCs. I don't know how it would work on an iPad: could you play two videos simultaneously, size the windows the way you want them and then cast that to your TV? Doing it any of the above ways you would only have one audio source and wouldn't have to play around with multiple headphones.

Symon O'Hagan

In the UK we knew it as "Zombie Flesh Eaters". I think it's also known as "Zombie 2" because in Italy "Dawn of the Dead" was called simply "Zombie" - so it was a sneaky attempt at a not-really sequel. Those Italians!!

China Andronicus

Eccleston is forever my favorite Doctor. I love Nine.

Raj Hudek

The line "I just killed a kid with this baseball bat" literally got me to be like, "I gotta check and see if she's got a Patreon!" Joined as soon as I cleaned up the coffee table from all the coffee that went through my noise from the laughter! I look forward to more of that!

Illuminated Productions

Loved watching this with you! Danny Boyle is one of my favorite directors. A black sheep suggestion from his catalogue might be "The Beach" (2000) starring Leonardo DiCaprio. It's a thriller/adventure/drama that's based on a novel by Alex Garland (who wrote 28 Days Later) and written by John Hodge (Trainspotting). Flawed, but I feel like it goes a lot of places and would make for a fascinating reaction video!

Fun fact: this movie is currently out of print and not available on any (and I mean ANY) streaming service in the U.S. and it's been that way for a while now with no explanation. Even getting a physical copy of it is either hard or expensive because it isn't being printed.
