Yes! A stone cold classic. Goes to show that people don't mind remakes if they come out in (and are faithful to) an era of well made, atmospheric horror movies (see The Thing, The Fly, etc...). Seeing how stone faced the pods act around each other when they don't have to convince anyone they're human, your clone would curse their luck with how much work they have to put in to maintain the facade of such an animated person Kat. 😄

Yeah, this movie was one of the first that freaked me out so much that I couldn't sleep after watching it the first time I saw it. The sound design is horrifying! It's so freaky! But I prefer this to the original 1950s film. Thanks for watching this one! Now you need to watch Sinister. 😉

Wormtongue

Wtf is that Robert Duvall as the priest on the swing? Never noticed that until now.

Nimoy's little half-glove? Nimoy just thought it would look cool and distinctive after he saw a friend wearing one to cover a burn. That's it.

Josh Link

Fun fact: the guy who jumps on the hood of the car screaming about them coming is the star of the 1950s Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Thomas

I didn't know that. I recognized the dialogue from the original, but I didn't recognize him. Interesting. 😀

Julian San

Great movie, Dena. I recommend the original 1950s version as well. In fact, there are a total of 4 of these movies and I think they’re all pretty good. I’ve always believed that this movie could be remade for every generation because every generation has a paranoia of some kind; communist/counterculture/terrorist/political scare.

Eddie Perkins

The real Horror of this movie is that poor Kevin McCarthy has been running around for 22 years trying to warn people, and he gets hit by a car, and nobody cares. I've never been a big fan of remakes, but this one is as good as the original, if not better. They even came out with a 3rd one, Body Snatchers (1993), but the first two are the best. Great Reaction as always.

Ernesto Lopez

If anyone is watching this with the kino 4k your 5 seconds behind Kat’s runtime ;)

Why are we only getting the full version and not the cut YouTube version

Jay_delachance

The Patreon early access vids drop every Tuesday, then the edited version is uploaded to Youtube on Wednesday of the following week. Hope that's what you were asking.

I love this movie, and the anticipation of seeing your reaction to that final moment just about killed me

That ending shot of Donald Sutherland, pointing and wailing, is on par with the ending shot of Felissa Rose, in Sleepaway Camp, in terms of making you shudder and giving you the chills. It did to me, anyway. See Ya Soon!!✌
