Josh Link

Great werewolf movie! Same director as The Descent.

Edge

Heck yes! I haven't seen this in ages.

I picked this up a few weeks back and it's been calling to me! It lives in my head next to Outpost for soldiers-and-horror, but on the shelf it's between The Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf and (1982) Cat People. :)

The actor playing Cooper sounds A LOT like Christopher Eccleston (that's the Major from 28 Days Later to you Kat 😁), and not just the accent either.

Hunter DeRensis

Great movie, and even better reaction! The Howling (1981) should definitely be the next werewolf movie up to bat.

one of the best werewolf movies. Hollywood sleeps on them. gengersnaps and dog are cult classics. we need more. great reaction. thank you.

sarCC

"Put the spaghetti back in the bowl!" made me laugh soooo hard 🤣

Symon O'Hagan

This movie was a big hit in Scotland when I lived there! I went to see it at the movies and the audience went NUTS for it. Sean Pertwee who plays Sarge is a LEGEND.

Eddie Perkins

Great Werewolf movie; it's always nice when I have the DVD and don't have to worry about finding it. Neil Marshall chose to use dancers as Werewolves instead of the typical stuntmen to highlight their grace and elegant movements. The set was also designed size-wise to force the creatures to have to bend a bit upon entering, thereby highlighting their statuesque physiques and wearing stilts in their costumes that made them a foot taller. They were cool-looking werewolves; they looked a lot like the ones in The Howling and Bad Moon.

Joey King

Your next Werewolf film should be THE HOWLING from 1981. No Doubt! Cheers!!

I think the movie sort of implied that you can hold in transforming during the full moon, like Sarge and Megan, and hold off transforming back into a human during the day, like Ryan. With the bathroom analogy that Copper and Sage discussed, you can hold off going to the toilet for a while, but eventually, you can't. As far as I can tell, Megan was a real zoologist who went out to study the rumours, got infected and was "adopted" by the family. She had no intention of betraying Ryan or Sarge's team and hoped they would get her out. She must have staved off transforming when the rest of the family did, went out looking for Ryan's team, and found the Sarge's. She was desperate to leave the house when Copper suggested it, but the werewolves totalled the car. Then they wrecked the landrover they hotwired. Seeing no way to escape and with her running out of time holding off the transforming, she let the werewolves in to buy back loyalty. It looked to me that she felt guilty every time she attacked one of the werewolves and tried to talk them out of killing the family. My guess is she was worried she would be seen as a traitor when the soldiers lost.

Kevin McKidd was born and raised in Scotland. Christopher Eccleston was born near Manchester. I never thought they sounded alike.
