Next up: a day on the ship! (Patreon)

Heya everyone!

I just wanted to announce that “a day on the ship” won the last poll - so this time we’re going ON the water!

I’ve already done some research and, as always, your input during and after the poll has been super valuable and inspiring.But I have to admit - I was still a bit undecided on how exactly I wanted to approach this one, especially since there were so many great ideas from the community that made it really hard to choose (like container ships, cruise liners, or historically inspired ships like the Titanic).

So I started a little feedback discussion over on Discord and got some wonderful insights from a few of you about what kind of ship might be the best fit for this theme - and, as always, your thoughts helped me a lot to clarify my own ideas.

Since the main "problem" is that I usually only have the time to create one huge map per content pack, I want to make sure that this one offers something fresh and useful to as many of you as possible.

After gathering all the feedback, I’ve decided to focus on a cruise ship as the core map of the upcoming release - I feel it fits the scale and structure of a day at quite nicely and offers lots of potential for a variety of locations on board.

BUT I’m still really intrigued by the idea of a historical ship, with some early 1900s-1920s inspired flair and matching assets.Although for the sake of transparency, I’ve decided to include that theme in the upcoming poll(s), so that if we do go the historical route, it’ll be with clear expectations (and hopefully shared excitement XD.)

Also: while the yacht and container ship ideas may not make it into the main pack for now, they are high on my priority list of bonus maps for the future!

As for the assets:I’m planning to create a variety of ship-themed assets that can fit different types of vessels - so you’ll be able to build or adapt your own ships regardless of the final map’s direction!

And if you have any ideas or suggestions for ship-related content - be it for the map, modular rooms, prefabs, or general assets - feel free to throw them my way. I’m all ears!
