This is my personal interpretation of a future development of Tokyo.  -

The sea level has risen about 10 meters and except for the districts that have protected themselves, some of the land mass has fallen victim to the water.

But this has not prevented the city from developing. The core of the city was further expanded and the different interest groups found pleasure in being able to define their own territory on the developing islands.

Many of the main roads were maintained but became bridges or tunnels under the water. However, some areas of the city have been completely fenced off and are currently only accessible by boat.

Many areas along the waterfront, especially in the northern part of the city developed into swamplands. Here you will find only hermits who prefer the proximity to the city, but also their peace and quiet and like to take on the new dangerous animals that now feel more comfortable here.

As a city planner, I couldn't pull myself together today and somehow had the urge to design a regional map and I would love to share the output with you.

At the bottom of the page you can download the map as an image file and as a PDF file.

The PDF is divided into different layers. So you can switch the borders, labels etc. on and off as you wish.

If you are interested in more regional maps in general, leave a comment or a like!

As if this is something you are interested in, I could imagine putting together new cities from time to time.

Also: If you are interested in creating your own maps or if current city maps would be enough for you - For this city map I used a map from https://schwarzplan.eu/en/ and adapted it. Maybe this will help you.

How can the layers be edited in the PDF?

a day at

Hey! Not every PDF Viewer has it and sometimes its kind of hidden. On Adobe Acrobat you have a layer Symbol in the right Side, when you click it the layer should becomd visible and you can switch them on or Off by clicking the little eye Icon on the left side of the layer.
