Here are the project files including the HOUSE PIANO RACK!

A few people have messaged me saying the project doesn't work. Please make sure you are up to date with Live 11.1 version. I have downloaded the project on another computer and everything works.

I still haven't been able to fully understand the problem, or replicate it.

Chris Carter offered this solution: "I had to open a new instance of Live and then drag the ALP zipped file over to Live to unzip it. Then pick a destination to save the folder. Seems to work." Please give that a go and hopefully that will allow you to open the project.

For the next while I will go back to Live 10 for the project files to try to avoid these compatibility issues. Sorry again for the difficulty with these project files.

IMPORTANT: Please remember, the project files are intended to assist your learning from the video. They are for educational purposes, not for anyone to download and release as their own work. If you want to use a preset or some midi or a drum element etc in a track, you are welcome to do so. But, the composition is not royalty free and not available for commercial release.

Yo man, how can i remake the piano in Live 10? also theres no F3 piano sample in the project files

Dilby

Check here to make it: https://www.google.com/search?q=create+a+multi+sample+instrument+using+ableton+sampler&rlz=1C1CHBF_deDE965DE965&sxsrf=AJOqlzUkYWuj2AhKRnX3twEAOe-TZNBk3Q%3A1674212320219&ei=4HPKY-T7DLaQxc8P6ZWpsA4&ved=0ahUKEwjk6__0_tX8AhU2SPEDHelKCuYQ4dUDCA8&uact=5&oq=create+a+multi+sample+instrument+using+ableton+sampler&gs_lcp=Cgxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAQAzIHCCEQoAEQCjoKCAAQRxDWBBCwA0oECEEYAEoECEYYAFDQBVjQBWCfCWgBcAF4AIABogGIAaIBkgEDMC4xmAEAoAEByAEIwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz-serp I will upload the files again with the F3, thanks for pointing that out.

Dilby

The F was there, I had mislabelled it as F#3, which was duplicated. I added a zip to the files with the piano samples correctly named.

Thanks man :D

How can I download each note into my Ableton piano? Right now I have to use each note as a separate audio track and I know that is not the right way to do this.

Dilby

Open the project and hit the save button (it looks like a floppy disk) on the piano instrument I created. You will be prompted to give it a name, name, it whatever you like, and hit enter. Now I'll be saved in your user library. You can find it by searching or in the user library section on the left hand menu and Ableton. Just drag that onto a midi track like you would any other Appleton device.

hi bro, I don't know why but I can't see the track on my session view, do you know what I can do?

Brendan

I can't use the chord plugin for the piano one shots since cant use the project files(I have fl studio) Is there a way I can use these one shots to make chords in fl studio?

Dilby

Sorry everyone , I had post scheduled for 3pm next Sunday 😂. If something like that ever happens, please let me know ASAP and I'll do my best to fix it right away.

Dilby

I have used "collect all and save" and then uploaded a .zip file of the project folder. Please let me know if that works to resolve the issue. Or if you are still unable to open the actual Live Project.

adr 1

I still couldn't open it, it keeps giving the same message that needs the current version of live =/

Dilby

So with the previous version, the ALP file, were you able to unpack the project but the file wouldn't open? And Now with the ZIP file the project won't open?

jame starck

no man same problem with 11

Steve

same problem

Dilby

Hi Steve, can you please elaborate on exactly what the problem is with as much detail as possible? What version of Live are you running? Have you tried the solution that Chris Carter offered, which is written in the post? Thanks mate.

Steve

Hi Dilby yes I tried but still not opening. Im using Live 11 Suite (11.0.6) and the error message says Failed reading Pack File. The document ......... /Patreon - Piano House Tutorial.alp was created with a newer version of Live and cannot be opened in the current version

Dilby

Great. Try updating to Live 11.1 and give it another go mate. If it still doesn't work try the solution in the original post above and let me knot how you get on.

Project file is not loading

Dilby

Are you on Live 11.1? It is the latest version and it needs to be up to date. Chris Carter offered this solution: "I had to open a new instance of Live and then drag the ALP zipped file over to Live to unzip it. Then pick a destination to save the folder. Seems to work." Please give that a go and hopefully that will allow you to open the project.

P J JD

I'm on Live 11, but not 11.1, so to try Chris Carter method, does it work with 11 instead upgrade to 11.1?

Dilby

The project file is made with Live 11.1 so it will not open unless you use the most recent version. That is what the error message is telling you. Chris's solution might work if you update to 11.1 and still have some issues.

P J JD

Thank you brother. tc

Lewis Croft

Is this project file ever going to be made for Live 10. Would really appreciate the piano? :/

Lewis Croft

Dw about it I was just being lazy, I remade it straight after this comment 🤣 niceone!!

Dilby

Haha, nice one :) Would be bloody handy if there was a "save for Live x Compatibility" option in Ableton though.
