Template Set - UPDATE SEPT 2023 (Patreon)

I have made some updates to my template set due to the increasing number of people who are having issues with Slate Digital VSTs on Apple M1/2 systems.

The project is made with Live Suite 11.3.2I have tried to switch everything to VST3 where possible. There are a couple of things which are not available as VST3 unfortunately and Voxengo SPAN, which loses the sidechain input option in VST3.I also purchased Kickstart 2 and will use that going forward as it is a fraction of the price of LFO Tool which makes it accessible to more users.Please let me know if there are still any issues with this version (or if I missed and VST plugins when swapping to VST3) and I will aim to resolve them ASAP.

Hi Dilby, I can understand, that LFO Tool is too expensive for some people. But why Kickstart 2 with its limitations (curves, etc.) ? Duck from Devious Machines is the real and cheaper alternative to LFO Tool. Kickstart 2 is a big step backwards. Compared to Duck's range of functionality, this is just a waste of money, sorry.

Wow .. fantastic. Thank you!! All of my VST3's are now appearing and working correctly. One item tho is with the unzipped folder permissions where on my Mac the uncompressed folders are set to read-only .. which I've seen on other project zip's I've downloaded. If you want to make a copy or update the project in the same folder the simple fix is to open the project folder in Finder then type CMD-I and in the Info window scroll down to 'Sharing and Permissions' and change the privilege setting from read-only to read-write for your username. This project would be copied into templates folder so not really an issue. Thanks again!

whats strange about this is that my ableton loads the projects, tells me some plug ins are not available. However i can see them and double click on them to get them to load lol.

Jesus, never seen that lol. I think your ableton might be possessed!

I think it is possessed. I replaced all the plug ins manually. Then re saved the project. Then it wouldn't open. Just keeps crashing 😂😭

Hi I've just tried to load the template file in ableton 11, seems i need to install the vsts, is there a list somewhere i can see what version to download. also theres a few audio files missing, not sure if these are meant to be found in ableton packs?

Check this video where I go through everything man. Shows the VST's I use. Regarding the audio files you could probably find them from many of the other project files. But I would suggest that you replace them with your own sounds. Hey man, didn't expect the quick reply, cheers mate. I bought the east end dubs single pack, which had some of the missing files. I guess you're right this is a template file so makes sense to use it as a starting point obviously, was being dumb, i thought i had one of your other projects loaded. thanks will check out the youtube link. also, your content is awesome, learning a lot from your videos, nice one

This is handy mate ill go through this aswell. For some reason all of your templates wont open, the just bring up 'live quit unexpectedly'

Correct, Ableton is not backward compatible.
