Quick poll.  Warsonger was so kind and said that I can use his mods as I want in SFO. He made that Beastmen and Chaos can have outposts like  Wood Elves . Beastmen one will be reworked and added to future SFO update but what about Chaos one?Check mods here before decision!Chaos:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1656689383Beastmen:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1645154928Note: positive result wont mean it will be added for 100% in that form. But your voice matters!

These mods seem to work just fine with Grimhammer on themselves so I don't know if there is much merit in including them in the main mod.

They are very basic right now and have some problem that can be fixed. Like Beastmen got growth and public order. Dont think they should have it. And I really like idea of hidden herdstones for Beastmen, mixed about Chaos because we already have fortress system for lords.

Fair enough. You convinced me to vote.

Honestly, it would be great for chaos playthroughs for something even if it's just a little mild to be able to fall back to for a little extra security if you had a hard fight. Additionally, being able to fight from within the walls isn't that bad of an idea. However, considering the role of chaos Within Warhammer, I suggest they start with damaged walls as it's very unlikely that they would put forth the effort to repair a City. It is more likely that they would simply loot it and use it to store Goods, corrupt and desecrate the temples, enslave and or sacrifice the remaining population hiding deep within the catacombs, or man and cheaply reinforce the walls which would essentially just be the building choices. You would get added corruption, growth, and maybe some cheap specialized units like enslaved soldiers or converted chaos cultists.

These mods look really cool but having outposts is against the very nature of Chaos, IMHO. They raid, pillage and slaughter for the dark Gods. They don't build anything. And don't sustain any kind of economy. Any economy buildings in ruined cities make no sense for them. You can't earn favor from Khorne, Tzeentch, Slaansesh or Nurgle through trade. Building ports - maybe. But for one purpose only - getting reinforcements. Leaving behind troops to garrison pillaged ruins doesn't make much sense either. Just build a Chaos Gate, corrupt the place and make anyone who comes to re-colonize it to face a bunch of daemons. Unfortunately, Chaos daemons are scheduled for Warhammer 3.

That is not true. Chaos had several Dark Fortresses in lore. But I get your point.

Chaos lore is really cool and diverse. Black Fortress is located in Chaos Dwarf realm. Major Chaos fortresses - Brass Keep, Impossible Fortress, Marcher Fortress and Citadel of the Iron Knight, etc. are all located in the Realm of Chaos. Inevitable City is located deep in Chaos Wastes where Chaos corruption is strong. Chaos doesn't build fortresses and outposts to secure control over a region like other races do. Their fortresses are manifestations of power and appear where Chaos is strong already. I would suggest as an option to make Chaos citadels as an upgrade to Chaos shrine built in the ruined city with a high Chaos Corruption as perquisite. Only region consumed by Chaos or close to be fully devoured by it should be able to get a projection of major deity fortress - Brass Keep, Impossible Fortress, Marcher Fortress or The Garden of Blight. You can keep those outposts relatively weak with one or two building slots only. Such approach would allow to get the land conquered by Chaos while forcing player to work on maxing corruption to secure control. No lightning fast expansion is possible under such scenario.

You will be able to make only 10 settlements and only in specific places. Corruption mechanic is not possible.

I know this is way later, but if you are still batting around this idea, I really love immersion and logical sort of realism. I feel like chaos wouldnt just be wandering armies. They conquered the old world. I feel like they should have more standing territory. I think it would be cool to have outposts and you can turn a lord into a citadel and park him in the middle. Basically chaos can make dynamic sort of provinces. While also having territory control. Just be kinda cool to see karl friends locked in battle with the vampires until a chaos nation pops into the north and its like a three way battle between the three biggest factions/races in the game.
