Old World Beta Info + Changelog (Patreon)

Hello Everyone!

Venris Here!

Old World Campaign Beta is this Friday so it's time to talk about what this massive testing version will contain. Important info is that mod will be uploaded to the main SFO III steam page and not beta branch. It will contain many features but not all of them. Purpose of beta is to test the core of mod changes in a real scenario. So keep in mind that many things are still subject to change.

Factions in beta:

Empire

Bretonnia

Dwarfs

Greenskins

Vampire Counts

Wood Elves

Skaven

Khorne

Nurgle

Tzeentch

Slaanesh

Cathay

Ogres

Kislev

Norsca

Warriors of Chaos

Rest of the factions are not ready to be tested but will be in coming weeks and will be added to the beta branch of the mod. Some of them can break saves so we will be trying to always upload previous version to Steam.

Things that won't be in beta:

New unique characters skills for every type of hero/lord

New traits

Items rework

New events

New SFO Menu options

Quest battles rework

Custom SFO characters

Units caps

Some other minor things that I forgot to mention

Beta will contain a lot of faction reworks and additions from SFO: Grimhammer II. But not all of them. While revisiting the old changes we saw that many of them were not needed or causing bloat to overall experience. We removed several features and added some minor new ones. Of course, we also can't forget that with SFO III we wanted to go a different path of balance and lower the number of Player penalties. That means total rework of the economy and many effects factors. You had a chance to test it out already with the Land of Wealth update to core WH3 factions. There are really a lot of small changes here and there to talk about so I wont bother you anymore. Last thing to note is that it's a BETA, not a full release so many things are subject to change, not fully balanced or even working in some cases. So please keep that in mind while testing.

Grab Beta Changelog that is still in works and will be changing until Friday's release.
