It’s not that I have a problem with removing TikTok. I have a problem with the bill. It is dangerous . We have seen suppression of speech in America during Covid.. with this new bill they won’t have to use the back door to silence speech, the president will be able to just declare something as a national security threat and shut it down or interfere with it until it’s sold. Ironically, this bill will make us more like China if passed . The bill needs an entire rework and needs to specifically focused on TikTok with extremely clear language that the law cannot be applied anywhere else. We will just have to legislate each and every threat item by item. much like the patriot act the road to Hell pays with good intentions

On the surface now, but if you look very very closely, you’ll see where the president can declare something in national security risk. we have seen the abuses of the patriot act. We’ve seen meta-data collection. We’ve seen the censorship of regulatory reinterpretations .We’re giving them another tool with this bill that they can use to erode freedoms. by all means, I am concerned about the Chinese government. It is obvious what they’re doing, but it is also obvious with the US government has done and is doing which is a little better than Chinese government as far as destroying individual liberty. I’m fine with TikTok, being barred.. but it needs to be on a case by case basis, with only the legislature and a president together being able to do what they’re getting ready to do to TikTok . otherwise we place too much power in one man’s hands, namely the president hands and a bunch of unelected bureaucrats

Ah, I can't wait for TikToc to go apeshit over Tienanmen Sq killings, Uyghur enslavement, the Tibetan and Mongolian destruction...and oh, oh...all those stolen human organs on the market.
