Do you realize how important you are, my 50-Cent Army? An anonymous Google employee has leaked that top Google executives had a secret plan to create a censored search engine for China. And if the world’s largest search engine caves to censorship demands of the world’s second largest economy for the sake of profit...that sets a bad precedent. It’s no wonder YouTube (owned by Google) has been giving China Uncensored such a hard time. Remember, the only reason China Uncensored can still exist is because of your support. We’ll have an episode about Google’s secret China plan coming out next Monday.

But there is a silver lining. We’ve been seeing in the past few months, especially in July, US intelligence agencies and US lawmakers increasingly standing up to the Chinese Communist Party—and the unrestricted warfare it’s been waging against the United States. I guess they’ve been watching China Uncensored ;)

And now we’re in a new Cold War with China! I was always so bummed I missed the first one. Fortunately, it seems our generation has one of our own.

Matt, Shelley, and I have been cranking these things out, with way more info than we could ever cram into a single episode of China Uncensored. And we’ve had some great guests on. In about a month, our friends at the Human Rights Foundation will be hosting a Freedom Forum (like the one we went to in Oslo, Norway in May) right here in New York. So if you’re in the New York area, keep your eyes and ears peeled! We may be doing something in conjunction with them.
