#140 US Insider on FAILED US Policy Toward China | David Stilwell

The way the US has treated China for decades has not led to the outcomes it hoped for. Now the US is meeting China where it is, not where the US wants it to be. The big question now is can the US disentangle itself from China in a way that doesn't hurt Americans, and does it have what it takes to stand up to China in all the arenas that China is challenging it in. Joining us in this episode of China Unscripted is David Stilwell, the former Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs during the Trump administration and the director of the China Strategic Focus Group at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. All commie countries have to have enemies as their way is very, very fragile. Nice moves he did and is talking about. But, what about under Ol' Uncle Joe? OK, he finds it OK...but forty years of ass kissing? What you get then are weaklings who believe that is the way to act...for all time. It's called conditioning. OK, some have real visions...the happy few. Try the US Chamber of Commerce on for that size. Aha, Shelly is just noting that we should take the high road. That was a thousand miles of rocky road. OK, he says the ChiComs are effective in channeling media data. Gasp, but we don't do diddly compared with them! Hmm, I always wonder about this term "remain true to our values". Is that a cover? And who is doing the basketball shoe diplomacy? A Turkish basketball player. 19:00...Wait, older China contributed to diseases jumping from animals to man and that was because they were advanced in agricutlture? More like China is dirty, dirty, dirty...and why among the Chinese people I know none want to live in the local Chinatown due to that dirt. And my wife just came back from eating there and noted she had seen people shooting up in the China town streets...Seattle. Here, an example, when in a park with any water in China, look at the bottom of the pond, lake or whatever...it is tiled with cigarette butts and other effluvia. Tossing garbage is a Chinese custom. My father-in-law, a former colonel in the PLA, throws his cigarette pack cellophane in the flower bed with no thought of why. Great the groups working against ChiCom initiatives. But what is his fear about forcing the PRC into a corner? Insanity on his part. 28:35...Be real, Obama fucked up that red line by his wimpiness. We missed the red line in Tibet...we were air dropping guns to the rebels but Nixon stopped that because he wanted so badly to be "friends" with China. That was fucked. Look what we have today. Further fuel for anti-Nixon attitudes. The nine dash line...OK, do American map makers mark it on maps? 38:35...Make fun of the Chinese, it is light but powerful and nothing to do with guns. it has to do with ridicule. Laughter. At the enemy. They cannot cope with that. Put out a parody of the Global Times...that's a rat's ass in a trap! Put anti-commie stuff on SNL...but for the fact they are wimps there. Great talk about the swine Eric Adams and his blah-blah attitude! And ChiCom soft attacks! More on the Friendship arch for Brooklyn..."An Adams spokesperson appeared to pin the blame on U.S.-China relations — without elaborating — even as the two countries reached an initial trade agreement only last week. “It is unfortunate that geopolitical tensions have complicated the process of receiving this gift and completing the project,” said the spokesperson, Jonah Allon. “We are still determining the best path forward.” So, it appears Adams is a China ass kisser. China pulled out of the deal here....you baddy Americans are so terrible! 50:10..good point about how the Canadians were treated in China...no word out of Canada. (Meng issue) 53:15...Chinese workers around the world. Kudzu analogy great! 57:40...China as the world reserve currency...hardly.
