Will the U.K. government force that consulate to close down over this incident you mentioned? There has to be some consequences for this, otherwise China will take it as a sign that it can get away with doing whatever it wants on British soil, and that will only put more people at risk

Michael Spencer-Smith

As a Brit, I can tell you that at the moment the Police are trying to establish who was responsible for the beatings. Once they have done that, they will ask China to waive their diplomatic immunity. If they fail to do this 'diplomatic consequences will follow'. I hope

Michael Spencer-Smith

I hope this will mean that the consul, Zheng Xiyuan, will be expelled as he has subsequently given an interview saying that it was His duty to beat up the protester.

If Xi (President for life or until death) is going to invade Taiwan, he needs to do it soon…you don’t want to wait until you get so senile that you can no longer get out of bed.

Hi Chris, Matt, and Shelley. I wonder how big of an impact could speaking up against CCP have on someone with a big enough following for CCP to notice. Would an influencer have any trouble when traveling to China, because they openly talked about what's happening there? What would happen to someone 'more active' like you or Drew Pavlou? Thanks.

"It's my duty to pull his hair....." I don't know why state-run media always labeled unfavorable things as "rumors" but no one could possibly make this shit up.
