I don’t think they can come with Steve did an endgame because an endgame. It showed Steve going back to Peggy, but he lived out the rest of his life and grew old to give Sam the shield so I don’t think they’re gonna kill him off.

Andrew big suggestion for smash, give some more of the DLC fighters a shot. They are pretty commonly known to be super overpowered, even Byleth. Joker, Pyra, Kazuya, and Sora are all really good. Steve is by a mile the best character in the game but he’s definitely very technical and hard to learn

You have to remember that the Russos made the ending for both Steve and Tony. Also there’s been plenty of directors who leave projects out of creative differences. If the Russos didn’t want, have an idea, or like these guys coming back they wouldn’t do it. There’s a plan behind this so let them cook. Also remember that the Russos said after Endgame that if they could come back for any movie it’ll be for Secret Wars. So they’re passionate about this and they of all people would be protective of bringing those two back cause again they gave them that ending and they of all people wouldn’t want to ruin it. Unless they had a vision

I think I could make Andrew like homecoming a little bit more if not completely change his mind on it. Andrew likes to compare it to Raimi Trilogy and TASM movies which makes sense, but I don’t think you can do that. Instead of thinking about it as “Spiderman 1” I think about it as “MCU 16”. Yes, Spiderman “doesn’t do much” in his own movie, but we are living in a post civil war New York. He worships iron man, and he just helped iron man fight for a bill that says that superheroes need government approval! Why would he break that and piss iron man off? That’s why we see him do awesome things in Infinity war, endgame, and far from home (not in US). For me, MCU movies need to be in context of the others. Ex: Captain America is canon for Spiderman. In Raimi and TASM, those “superhero worlds” start with Peter being bitten. Not from cap getting the serum. If Tom Holland was the start of his own superhero multiverse, I think he’d be kicking ass. Alex Feel free to steal my take for an argument🤣
