Hal Jordan has been my favorite super hero since I was a child. This show hasn’t given me any hope at all. The suit, the lantern, and the ring are abysmal. The choice to put YELLOW gold on a Green Lanterns ring is certainly one of the choices of all time.

Great episode y’all. As much as I do want a cosmic, space oriented, Green Lantern series or movie… to be fair, in the comics, John Stewart’s introduction involved a lot of earth-based stories and crime fighting, and before that there were a ton of earth based crime stories with Green Lantern/Green Arrow. So it’s not out of the blue that this is a thing. But it’s still not what I want. :(

Alex being mean to things has become a myth, like I’ve been watching since early 2024 and I’ve seen every episode before that. Every time Alex talks about how “he’s so mean to things and he’s given so many things 1 or 2 out of ten” I kinda roll my eyes because it actually is pretty rare that he’s actually mean to something. It also has become increasingly more rare as the podcast goes on. No hate I still love my guys but I do think this is Alex not being self aware enough

I understand your criticisms with the new lanterns show but i think people forget that 2011 movie made people have have a bad look on green lantern and all that comes with it so i think they are trying to ease people into that part of the universe because of the bad reception of the previous film also i think that whatever they showed in the trailer doesn’t even come close to what we are gonna get when the show fully comes out
