And with Debbie and Nolan, the only way I can see it working in the show is if if it’s incredibly well written, obviously, but also Nolan has to redeem himself more

Tech jacket is actually the strongest of that kind because the tech jackets get enhanced by the creatures that they are on and humans are stronger than that alien race so picture is actually the strongest of those. I’m not saying you can’t be mad at Nolan for the awful things he did because they were awful but that was all of his learned behavior where his parents beat him to a pulp just like he did to mark. Nolan is essentially uncle Iroh raised in an empire to commit atrocities only to come to his senses later in life and realize the consequences of his actions. So would you hold iroh to this same standard as Nolan and say that he is unredeemable because I don’t think you would.

My prediction: Foggy is alive, vanessa hired bullseye to hit him accurately enough to not kill but to a revivable level or something in order to hold him captive and create a reason for matt murdock to dawn the mask again in order to bait him into outing himself to the public, therefore keeping fisk's word in his deal with matt but also winning his war on vigilantes. However, vanessa did not keep her word on her deal with bullseye and he kills her. This sends fisk into an animal and he kills buck and maybe bullseye. With no vanessa, theres no deal. Fisk has matt arrested and outs him as daredevil

While Matt is in jail between seasons, the underground resistance against fisk and gained some motion and has gear and more people. The next season will start off with frank castle (whos joined the resistence) breaking matt out of jail with the tank we know he has in brand new day. This could set up a potential storyline where the resistence turns into the inner demons which would be in a project after brand new day

I kinda get what alex is saying about the mark and nolan seen. I was surprised at the different reactions online. My immediate thought when watching the seen was to question what the extent my would my father have to betray me for me to never speak to him again. And because of the fact i am evening questioning it means i understand where mark's head is at.

I was literally coming here to comment the same exact thing and say that Nolan is either the Zuko or the Iroh of the universe and that it’s just done more brutally because it’s not a kid show so you can actually see the atrocities he committed in the consequences for it not that you don’t see the consequences in avatar. It’s just not as violent and overtly brutal. I hope that the fellas continue to enjoy the show regardless of where I am positive it is going, but if not, then that’s on them I guess.

Exactly my point hahah I was also thinking of zuko when I was writing that especially because zukos redemption arc is considered one of if not the best redemption arcs in all of fiction and I would assume irohs redemption was also great but we were introduced to him after he was “redeemed” and was already a good guy so that might be why they wouldn’t see the parallel

i’m ngl i understand completely what alex is saying in regards to how mark is towards nolan. from personal experience i can see myself when it comes to how mark interacts with nolan, it’s hard to hate a parent or be so cold towards them bc imo you still have that kid version of you who idolized them and it’s hard to move forward and know what to do after they have let you down or betrayed you so the way mark is interacting with nolan is in some sort of half way in half way out of forgiving or hating/ being unforgiving.

I feel like Andrew and Alex forget that basically all of Nolan's personality was programmed into him for thousands of years. Rewatch the first episode. Nolan in the first episode is almost fully ready to give up and abandon viltrumite ways of teaching. He punches Mark hard ONCE and Mark panics and gets hurt and Nolan CONSOLES him and even says "No one is gonna pull their punches," while ACTIVELY PULLING HIS PUNCHES. Even later, Nolan apologizes and tells him that he isn't gonna hit him when they're on the roof. Nolan is on the precipice of flipping over and then Mark starts talking like a Viltrumite. "Hit me. I wasn't ready. Let me prove to you I'm strong. I can take it." Mark, in that instance, solidifies Nolan's killing of the guardians. He sees the Viltrumite in Mark and decides to go full force. If yall can't learn to empathize and sympathize with someone who has done evil actions and clearly recognizes the severity of those actions, you're gonna have a hard time with media in the future. It feels like you can't understand that even really bad people can change.

I fully disagree with them, I 100% believe Omni man is redeemable, and should be redeemed. However, the death Vader thing is a little diferent. Because he was only redeemed in Luke’s eyes and the audiences eyes really. And then he instantly died .It’s not like everyone is the galaxy accepted him back and he became important to the galaxy again.
