I think the reason why Jean Grey is hostile toward Peter is because he is probably assisting Tramal Tillmans character with hunting her down due to thinking that she is a bad guy, but eventually finds out that Jean is innocent and teams up with her to take him down. That's just my guess. I think Tillman might be working with an agency that hunts Mutants. It's a classic Marvel Team up misunderstanding.

I don't fully agree with Alex that Peter will die, but I can see a scenario where the symbiote comes to Peter's Aid if he gets fully beaten near death. I remember a piece of the symbiote was left behind from Venom at the end of No Way Home, but I feel they want to pay that off in Secret Wars to give us the iconic cover of issue #8.

Very torn about the villain situation here. For a while I’ve been thinking tombstone was the main villain since his casting is confirmed and they haven’t shown him in any trailers, plus the Lego set leak, but now I’m not so sure. Jean grey is cool but I really don’t want her to be a big part of this movie it’ll take away from some actual spider-man villains I think need to shine more. I have full faith in the movie, but I’m starting to get pretty worried about all the different moving pieces. TASM 2 is great, but one of the reasons it feels like a cluster-fuck is bc there’s not really a main villain… we’ll see what happens!

you also need to remember the symbiote is in the main universe and is on earth. they showed tom hardy in a post credit scene and after he gets teleported away theres a little bit of the symbiote left behind so its very possible

I don’t buy that Sadie sink is Jean grey. 1) why is Jean grey being introduced in a Spider-Man movie just before doomsday which features the fox xmen & a presumed multiversal reboot after secret wars at which point we will get the announced xmen reboot. 2) why is she shown to be antagonistic? The only bad Jean grey is dark Phoenix or Madelyne Pryor either of which are too convoluted to include in this movie. 3) I believe she’s actually Typhoid Mary and the Jean grey rumours are either fan speculation or false rumours released to throw people off. Typhoid is a daredevil villain and he is likely to appear, backed by the prison scenes, the hand’s presence and to some extent punishers presence. Jean Grey does not make sense to appear.

Alex is a Larper 😂 I’m just playin I love you Alex. But for real brother Daredevil and Spiderman villains crossover all of the time and one of those villains is the hand. Yes they are a primary antagonist of Daredevil but they cross over with Spidey too. One of those times is Spiderman shadowland issue 1 . Also spidey teams up with daredevil to fight them in the 80s and like 10 -15 years ago in the 2010s era too. Also, you may not know this Alex but if you look at the first trailer, there are a bunch of shots in slow motion where Peter is fighting or tangling with bad guys and each and every one of those is a recreation of a specific comic book panel cover from a specific issue of Spider-Man comics so I think a lot of the fan service that is being done in the movie even story wise is for those of us who have read these comics for years and years, as well as trying to appease people who maybe don’t read comics, but like the movies. It’s a fine line to walk, but I think they’re gonna do it.

It didn't revive him from death; he was buried with the suit he made from cloth that resembled it because he liked the symbiote suit design. He wasn't dead when he was buried, he was shot with a tranquilizer dart. He was rejuvenated from near death in Spider-Man life story written by Chip Zydarsky tho

Also why don’t people consider the idea that Ned remembers being friends with spiderman but not who he is so he’s searching for him, and then once Peter finally comes back into their lives he gets MJ killed which turns Ned into hobgoblin as someone who had a relationship with spiderman but then after leaving him for years he comes back and gets his only friend killed and he uses his intelligence to build all his gear and whatnot

Can the venom symbiote not be a early scene entering his bloodstream and we just don’t see the actual black suit till secret wars? Would that not help explain the mutation? Venom suit Spiderman is definitely favorite and I think it supports alex’s theory. He may die, but the symbiote takes over after and he returns in black suit for secret wars. Obviously healing properties he takes back over after or during the movie

the symbiote is already in the universe, it already knows who spider man is. it could seek him out and finds peter dead at the end of the movie or a post-credit scene and revives him and recreates the Kraven's Last Hunt cover. And it's a cbm they could make up whatever reason as to why it revives Peter. it doesn't have to be 1 to 1 to any already established lore. It is entirely within the realm of possibility. or this whole idea could be saved for secret wars or a doomsday post credit scene or something

Alex's explanation of him being dead and needing to be brought back sounds a little Dawn of Justice like. We see Tom making two of the villain cures in the school lab when the others only had one, and tom fixed the AI in doc oc before the apartment fight. So he technically healed 3 of the 5 and Andrew just had to recreate what Gwen made in tasm 1. Tom is definitely the smartest.
