the reason why they train with the white orb is to not only use there eyes but the force while remaining focus and i bet the reason why han had it was cause hes a smuggler and hes trying to flip it, its prob not even his,obi wan probably stuffed it in his ass for luke to use later after giving him the lightsaber...?

what yoda said to anakin in rots is correct “train to let go of everything you fear to lose” and that’s what luke did in rotj. But its just an inconvenient circumstance because Anakin is hiding what he fears to lose, so he can’t get proper counseling.

the lightsaber became part of the jedi tradition to teach them to focus and thus connect with the force, saying that jedi can accidentally slice one of their body parts makes no sense, cuz that’s the point of lightsaber training: focus & precision. The lightsaber is also used as a defensive and situational weapon, as said by Yoda, kanan, and other characters. A jedi never attacks only defends hence “keeper of the peace.” Yoda uses his lightsaber in the clone war offensive along with the rest of the jedi because they lost their way, they became generals of war, of course they’re gonna use a lightsaber.

Exactly lol. They lost their way that’s why in empire yoda doesn’t use the light saber anymore. Because he found his way again and is one with the force so with that empire being in the future of the prequels it makes sense for yoda to have a light saber and then to grow and understand it’s not needed. If yoda was this insanely all powerful being why did he not see palpatine as evil. It’s because they lost their way and were clouded by darkness. Completely agree with this take don’t know how Alex doesn’t see this.

??? That’s not because of his height. That’s because of how powerful Yoda was how would him being small help him in a lightsaber fight. The only positive I can think of is he would be hard to hit but if no walls are near by then he would hardly be able to hit them.

Yea and being harder to hit is a great advantage as he is always jumping around and hard to hit

Well if it’s in a open area he won’t be able to jump around much and it’s harder to go for any upper body shots

True I guess I always saw it as more of a double edge sword that his height makes it harder to get hit but also harder for him to hit
