Hey there! Today I'm not actually sharing one of my works. Instead, I took the time to scour my old HDDs in search of something really special to me. That's right. World's nichest genre:

Specifically, lots of old ones I have collected and downloaded through the years for safe keeping. They say nothing on the internet is truly gone, but that's not right: if no one cares to keep a file or repository going, it can easily be lost to the winds of time. Let alone the fact that, if no one shares them, they can also get less and less accessible over time.

This is also why I'm going to have this post available to the free tier in like a week or two! I think that's a good compromise.

Thankfully, most of the downloads in my possession still have at least one link on the web. So while I am going to provide all of the ones for today in the zip file down below, you can also go ahead and show your appreciation of them to their respective creator (though a lot haven't posted in years, so keep that in mind if, for example, you're looking for suggestions on how to proceed. You might be better off asking here in that case.)

1. Becky's Binge

I'm starting us off with a banger! This is one is, hands down, the game that first inspired me to make my own text-adventure games - though I'm sure you will be able to tell right away. It shares a lot with Emily's Midnight Snack. Or, well, my game shares a lot with it. This one came years before.

It's just... so in-depth, with so many interactions! The scale actually updates as you go on with the day, which is super cool as well. I have fond memories of me resetting over, and over, and over to get the best possible combination of foods and calories.

It's a little lengthy compared to the rest of what we've got next, perhaps? But I highly recommend you give it a try.

2. Anna's Wedding

Another great game by the same author! Much shorter, and a little linear perhaps, but the setting and story are fairly unique.

As I scoured around, I noticed the author of a lot of games had made a list! That's perfect, saves me some time. Most of their games are fairly short, unfortunately, but they all have a lot of heart to them. I myself really enjoyed (enough to download them, at the very least) Tiffany the NEET, Weenie Hallows: The Game, Anyways Here's Butterball, and Life of Kriss.

The author itself has got a lot of really good short stories as well. They seem to have stopped during the pandemic. I hope they're doing alright.

4. Some Girls are Bigger than Others

Here’s a text-adventure game that is now back in full bloom, something to give back to this community of fellow masturbators. It’s somewhat inspired/lifted/derivative of Lost Girls, an erotic graphic novel from Alan Moore, for those familiar with that work then you’ll get that this game is essentially an erotic fan fiction of an erotic fan fiction.

I... I have no words for this game, actually. It probably deserves a proper review. Like, pages long. It might be the wildest piece of literature I have ever laid my eyes on. No joke.

Actually, here's a tip for ya: for the love of god, do not interact with the corpse. Heed the warnings. That's actually vile! I don't even know if the game still has that scene in it, as it has gone through some updates through the years (I've included the most up to date version in the zip, just in case). It's also been delayed extensively! Almost comically so.

But it is interesting, and you might want to test it out.

Well, it is a niche for a reason! Not a lot of text-adventure games in this space. Then again, these were the only ones I found in time for today. There are also a lot of text-based sims, so I might make a list for those as well in the future :)
