The short story won! So I'll very gladly be working on one. Buuuut... I might actually not make you vote on the concept for it this time around. This is because I'm an evil person.

No but there's actually a reason for it: given that the story will be short, I really feel like even giving the concept for it would kind of spoil it away. Don't you think? Like, part of the fun of short stories is finding out what the deal is as you read through it, or where the narrative is leading towards. So maybe I'll go back to some of the discarded concepts from previous polls! Or maybe I'll come up with an entirely new idea. Either way it'll be a surprise for the both of us, which I feel works best.

I'll make sure I don't give out major spoilers. I will give some cool, juicy snippets, but will not tell you the greater context for them, nor how to get to those, nor what can lead after.

If you go ahead and read those, you will spoil yourself some stuff about the game. That's just inevitable, you know? But yeah, I'm also not going to give you an entire ending or something like that, so don't worry too much about it.
