Turns out I've not seen any of the movies that won best picture at the Oscars from the 2010s decade, so we've got 10 choices this week! Voting ends Thursday (4th) afternoon because I'm needing a quick turnaround, as I'll be looking to get it out next week!

David Harvey

Moonlight is the best of these films. It's a remarkable story of an African American boy's life and harrowing journey into adulthood and healing and rising past the chaos of his past. It's a beautiful film.

When you have a poll for Best Oscar winning movies of the 1990s be sure to include AS GOOD AS IT GETS with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt.

Ooh Birdman πŸ™‚

Celeste McAllister

Good idea for a decade pool Dawn, let's do more decade best picture winners from the 90's 80's 70's & 60's.😎

Korny

Leaving Las Vegas belongs in a 90s poll.

Bill W

How'd 2008 sneak in there?

Louis Marzullo

πŸ˜„ Because Dawn saw 2009 & 2019 winners but wanted ten choices, to equal a decade? But don't bet the farm on that; she moves in mysterious ways!

Bill W

Yes, I think she mentioned she did see Parasite (2019). I think I would have left out 2008, 2009 and included 2020-2022. So what if it's more than 10.

DawnMarieAnderson

Oops the years on the poll are the movie release dates. I've picked ones from the year they won the Oscars (between 2010-2019). So The Hurt Locker won in 2010. I haven't seen Parasite, you must be thinking of someone else πŸ€”

Bill W

AHAAA!!!! Now it all makes sense. Except who saw Parasite? It wasn't me...so that eliminates 2 of us. πŸ˜€

Bill W

I tried watching Parasite once. I got bored with it about half way through. It can go on the next foreign language poll.

john ruddick

The kings speech is a very well rounded film.

Robert Inman

I've got a love/hate thing with the Hurt Locker - great acting, exciting. story, and amazingly divorced from reality!

Eric Janssen

Apart from the Hurt Locker, there AREN’T that many great Oscar winners since Return of the king. One reason, they changed the voting system to a ranked-voting system, which accidentally causes the consensus second-place favorite to get more votes than the divided first-place favorite, and end up getting the prize instead. Leaving a lot of β€œHuh?” winners since β€˜08.

Corman Rockwell

Not only not seen any of them, I also never heard of them
