Rocky Balboa was a great conclusion to the Rocky saga. I am somewhat on the same boat of not seeing Adrian but also, I believe that showing Adrian passing away in the movie would have been too heart-breaking to watch.

KG

Talia Shire (Adrian) is still alive and gave her blessing for her character's eventuality in this movie. The reason being is that, if Adrian were alive, the ending of the movie wouldn't have happened. Rocky would have been a very different man. He wouldn't have had a reason and she wouldn't have supported it.

Yorkshire Shaft

Time for the creeds then Dawn if you want more of the Rockys.

KG

They actually filmed two endings to this movie. The alternate ending contains the opposite outcome at the end. It was included in the original DVD release and not many people know about it these days If you want to see it, the YouTube link is below https://youtu.be/jz_3UfnS4mQ?si=SlmTvuRWTblsqQy8

Jimmy Walker

Now you are ready to watch "Creed".

🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊 out of 5!!! Stallone & Rocky were both 60 for this one... Now, get this: Mike Tyson ("He bit my ear off, too!" 😂) is 58 & will be fighting an exhibition match against a much younger opponent later this year! How's that for foreshadowing?? 😲... Dixon broke his hand on Rocky's hip! Remember Drago said Rocky was made of iron... Robert (Rocky Jr.) is a corporate accountant (Adrian was good at math, too)... I'm not sure what Dawn said about Rambo but I do know that you said First Blood was your favorite movie you reacted to, at least until The Godfather, I think... The Rocky steps are at The Philadelphia Museum of Art but after you run them, please go inside; lotsa good stuff to see! 😁... Then, you have to try both Geno's & Pat's cheesesteaks (they're across the street from each other, I'm pretty sure) & let us know which one everybody preferred. Oh yeah, there's alot of other cool historical stuff in Philly, too 😉... And Little Marie would be about 42, 43 at this point in the movie. Not a bad age difference!... One more: The guy working in the kitchen at Adrian's & who said the prayer before the fight is none other than... Spider Rico, Rocky's first movie opponent! Same actor, too! 😆

KG

Spider Rico is the guy he was fighting in the opening scene of the first Rocky. He's the one that headbutt Rocky and then lost when Rocky got mad.

Burt Young (Paulie), whose birth name is Gerald Tommasso DeLouise, died less than a year ago. He was an accomplished painter & his works have been displayed in galleries all over the world (so says Wiki!). That really was one of his paintings in that scene in the movie. Mr. Young was also a U.S. Marine & a very good amateur boxer himself, with a record of 32 wins, 2 losses in the Marines. R.I.P.

Oh btw, Dawn: "Debacle" is just a fancy-schmancy word for a huge disaster. You know, like a clusterf***!! 😆 Another patron nick-named me Captain Pedantic, so I might as well live up to it! 😄... And Adrian died of ovarian cancer 😢 but Talia Shire the actress is alive & well, as was already noted by patron KG. 🙂

It was driving me crazy... where have I seen this pretty lady playing Little Marie before?? I checked her bio. Of course!! Walt's daughter-in-law from Gran Torino!! Whew! 😅 And special editing award to Scott for the Cuff & Link scene. That was awesome! 🏆

"Oh yeah, you're not gonna have your same priest mannie that... shouts his things at you!" 😂🤣😂 They're blessings! Just like Reverend Dawn Marie gives, only in Italian!
