Curly Bill was the other saloon owner in Deadwood.

Laudanum is an old remedy for everything. It has opium in it. Curly Bill was in an opium den just before he started shooting the moon.

This is why I subscribe to you. Your post movie comments gave me pause to think why I like this movie. You fond it to be disjointed and busy. I hadn't thought of that angle, but your observations were well founded. The old western movies directed by Howard Hawkes or John Ford from the 30s through the 50s are good and as you have found, very enjoyable. This was kinda different than those early westerns because they tried to tell the life of Wyatt Earp. So they tried to cram to many life events into this movie. There are other movies about the Wyatt Earp activities in Tombstone. Kevin Costner starred in 'Wyatt Earp" (1994) Dir: Lawrence Kasdan, 'Gunfight At The O.K. Corral' 1957 Dir: John Sturges, 'Doc' (1971) Dir: Frank Perry, the story from Doc Holliday's life perspective, 'Hour Of The Gun' (1967) Dir: John Sturges The story from the O.K. Corral shootout to the end of the revenge by Wyatt on the Cowboys,

I love this movie, but I love you more. Arguing about preferences is ridiculous. Now we all know what movie you don't like, and our lives have not changed for the worse because of it. Maybe we understand each other better than before... ....And I got to watch Tombstone again!

It's based on a true story. So it's not a basic Western Hollywood Story. Every character wad a real person. That's what makes it a Classic Western .

I'm from Arizona, and was there walking the streets in Tombstone last June. Most of the movie is fact and legend story telling. Though I heard from the historians that were talking last time I was there that the Earps were as much of a gang as "The Cowboys" were. I understand this might not be to your liking and that's fine. I honestly love that your enjoying western movies. Having grown up in places were many of these movies were shot is cool. I hope you continue your journey watching western. It's what personally brought me closer to my grandpa when I was younger.

At least Val Kilmer gave a good performance

Wyatt Earp starring Kevin Costner is a more complete movie about the life of Wyat Earp. and Maddie was never married to Wyatt.
