Fun fact! Transformers the Movie was the final film appearance of legendary filmmaker Orson Welles! The director of many golden age films including the classic “Citizen Kane”

Dawn, this may be my favourite reaction you've ever done! A couple of (sometimes spoilery) things! They did four seasons (well, three and a miniseries) of the original show. This is set between season 2 & 3. You don't need to watch this before the 2007 live action movie, although in some ways it could help with characters. You'll have a bit more of an understanding, but may also be confused because they changed a LOT of stuff. It's "Robots in Disguise" (although there are definitely plenty of robots in the sky). The other song that you were unsure about is "Dare." Megatron transformed into a gun. Starscream held him (they... change sizes when transformed - just roll with it) and shot down Ironhide, Prowl, Ratchet, and Brawn (beloved characters from the first two seasons). Ultra Magnus blew up very easily because they trimmed the scene down. It was supposed to be more brutal. There's so much more I can say, but I don't want to overwhelm you TOO much! Glad you enjoyed it!

I think Dawn would like the theme song from Wheeled Warriors. It's a jam. Btw, Dawn, the musical score was composed by Vince DiCola who also did the music for Rocky IV. Also, there was another lorrie Transformer called Huffer. He was orange, and small, about 1/3 the size of Optimus Prime and he transformed differently so his robot form was kinda goofy. Also, he was just the cab. He didn't have a trailer. He was Bumblebee because he was yellow, your favorite. Other non-mechanical names were: Jazz (Porsche) Hound (Army Jeep) Brawn (Land Rover) Beachcomber (Dune buggy) Sunstreaker (yellow Lamborghini) The Dinobots names were Grimlock, Sludge, Snarl, Swoop and Slag. Grimlock was the leader because the was the T-Rex and he didn't have an "S" name. 😀

The other thing we have to roll with is when Starscream or Soundwave fired him, the blast came from the barrel, but when he was in robot form, he fired from his scope. 😀

Not only the instrumentals, but Vince also co-wrote the Rocky IV song performed by John Cafferty "Hearts On Fire". You can hear bits of it in there too.

Sadly, I grew up before the Transformers generation. A little disjointed and frenetic! Thanks to my grandson Dawn, I do know the difference between an Autobot's symbol and a Decepticon's (look for the horns on the upper left and right) 👍
