Really loving the spooky season movies right now but I'll be glad of a break especially after watching Ghostbusters! I bet you didn't think I'd be looking for the closest therapist after that one 🤣

Not a chance! Therapy after Ghostbusters, not Misery?? 🤣 Who but Dawn?? 🥰 Anyway, just make sure their degree is in psychology, not para-psychology! 👻

Bill W

Awesome week of comedy/horror.

Ceryk

Yeah, this sutprised me, lol. Ghostbusters is a comedy, Misery is the really messed up one

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper (Canadian but actually half-Scot. Mum's maiden name: ANDERSON!!) used to say "Just when you think you have all the answers... I CHANGE THE QUESTIONS!!" 😂 Just when you think Dawn's gonna zig, she zags... HARD!! 🤯

Elliot Nesterman

"So, Ms. Anderson, how long have you been having these nightmares of turning into a demon dog." On another note, Shaun of the Dead is the first of what are generally referred to as "The Cornetto Trilogy:" Shaun of the Dead; Hot Fuzz; and The World's End. They are parodies of three different genres. Three things tie them together: They are all directed by Edgar Wright; they all star Simon Pegg and Nick Frost; and at some point in the films someone eats a cornetto. Other than that, they are not a trilogy in the traditional sense. They are, however, all very funny.

Louis Marzullo

Haha! What a quirky thread between the films! They must be Mr. Wright's favorite breakfast, with a double espresso! I wasn't familiar with them before your post, Elliot, but they sound like Northern Italy's version of Southern Italy's "sfogliatelle" (my favorite pastry; would love to send Dawn a box someday 🤤😋).

Cornettos are a brand of ice cream cone. The kind with vanilla ice cream, a chocolate coating, and nuts on top.

Yorkshire Shaft

Got to admit be glad to get back on the unsupernatural films. Hope dawn still remembers transformers 2 it's been like a lifetime lol

JL Green

Woo Hoo! 3 treats with no tricks.

Louis Marzullo

Let's see if Dawn recognizes Paul Sheldon in Misery. I'm gonna say no but I hope she proves me wrong!

Louis Marzullo

Aha! That would do it for me. The one sweet treat I could never stand, toasted or otherwise. Blecch! 🤢

Simon

I *can't wait* for Shaun of the Dead!

This is a good week. As an aside, since you like old movies, please consider a Billy Wilder film. Everyone knows "Sunset Boulevard" but I strongly recommend "Stalag 17." No one ever reviews his films, and it's a shame.

Misery is a magnificent study in menace and cruelty. Cathy Bates remains my favorite actress of all time. She is chilling in both Misery and Dolores Claiborne.

Louis Marzullo

And In "About Schmidt" she was about as brave as any actress in the history of cinema! 😏

I can not believe Dawn has not seen "Ghostbusters" I thought I seen her wear a Ghostbuster shirt in one of her reactions

john ruddick

Agreed she is utterly fearless and a consummate professional ever performance she gives is stunning. She really becomes the character she's playing it is very hard to be so dynamic as an actor. She is the ultimate acting role model.
