You know when in like every single horror movie, the 'dumb blonde' trips up while running away from the bad guy. And you know how she can never get back up and run or even walk normal. The shape of Paul's ankles after the hammer incident is the ONLY explanation I would accept to the previous statements.

MISERY (1990) 🔨 First Time Watching 🎬 Movie Reaction

Join me for my first time watching Misery. I hope you enjoy the video, my reaction, commentary and review! "Misery" (1990) is a psychological thriller directed by Rob Reiner, based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. The film follows celebrated author Paul Sheldon, played by James Caan, who becomes trapped in the remote home of his "number one fan," Annie Wilkes, portrayed by Kathy Bates. After a near-fatal car accident, Paul is rescued by Annie, only to discover that she is deeply disturbed and has violent intentions. As she forces him to rewrite his latest manuscript to her liking, Paul must navigate the twisted dynamics of captivity, obsession, and survival. Bates delivers a chilling performance that earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress, making "Misery" a gripping exploration of fandom and the darker sides of creativity. B**ches do be trippin', tho! 🤣

Dawn, if you watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you will accept other legitimate explanations for blonde victims tripping, falling & not being able to walk or run normally afterwards! (And it's not even for the seemingly obvious reason!) 😁

I put the old Geico horror movie/serial killer ad on Discord "Dark Humour". Hope Dawn watches it! 😆

That Geico ad has been airing lately; I think they bring it back at Halloween. I appreciate that Dawn's horror reactions also include tutorials on how to survive, such as how to block a door with feet, which zombie runs fastest, etc. Valuable info!

Billy B

Amazing that he plays Sonny in the godfather . Great reaction . 🎃

18:42- Best. Line. Ever. 😂🤣😂 "I was thinking of you the whole time, Annie!"... I stand corrected: "Sometimes I'll just sit at the window & listen to the rain & do nothing". 🥰 I think you might be the next Dalai Lama, Dawn! ☸️ Or maybe Gandhi reincarnated. He used to say "I have so much to do today, so I'll have to meditate for 2 hours first instead of just one"... Enjoyed this reaction alot! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Robert Zapata

Lol! Just like Dawn to find something positive in any situation. She said " he'll have his book to keep him occupied" when the car flipped over. Personally, that's why I love seeing her videos.

As I like to joke, guys, here's a fun bet trick you can do with your girl in a pub or coffee shop after a movie: Write something down on a slip of paper, put it under a cup, and tell her you have psychic mindreading powers. Ask her to pick her favorite worst movie cliche', without telling you. After a moment of concentration, you pick up the cup, and watch, as she reads in amazement, "I hate when the girl always falls and twists her ankle running in the old horror movies." As you can guess, there's really a secret trick to it: The trick is....THEY NEVER FREAKIN' ANSWER ANYTHING ELSE!!!!

john ruddick

Thank you this is my favorite movie with Cathy Bates, just bare in mind in the book version he doesn't survive, Misery eats him (the pigs name is Misery). moohaa hahahahahahha!!! A proper halloween ending!!!!!

OMG, Dawn called that! (not a surprise). And Misery the pig not even Sardinian! 😉 (Can't wait until she gets to that one. It's a hot mess but a jolly old good time, imo!)

Louis Marzullo

Dawn, Paul's editor is Lauren Bacall! Humphrey Bogart's co-star in "To Have & Have Not" & real-life wife!! Remember her sexy little shimmy dance at the end of the movie?? I sure do!! 😜

Lol yeah, she nailed it, or hammered it more like. It's "That's My Horse" with a Scots or Irish accent Dawn, if you ever read this. Shouldn't be hard for her lol.

Bartleby

The elderly actor who played the sheriff is Richard Farnsworth. You want to see a great film starring him in the lead, based on a beautiful true story. “The Straight Story” (1999) You will love this film Dawn!! Old man and old man wisdom galore!

Bartleby

And the main actor who plays the author is James Caan. You might remember him as the eldest brother Sonny in the first Godfather movie. Remember he was gunned down in his car midway through the first movie.

Bill W

Yes, it's Federal Express. Now you'll know that for when you watch Cast Away. If you look at the logo, you can see the E and the x form an arrow between them. It gives the suggestion of movement, speed etc.. (DHL stands for Dalsey, Hillblom & Lynn)
