I was wondering what the ultimate, all time, best ever ‘super power’ would be. I’ve thought about it long and hard and it just has to be the ability to heal! Not just yourself but everyone else! Like Mirabel’s mum from Encanto. Also to be invisible. And move things with your mind. Bugger I just don’t know 😅

Healing others... Well, at the risk of excessive fawning (ah, what's the difference at this point after like 5,000 times?😂), I'm convinced we have a Mutant/Avatar 🕉️ named Dawn Marie running this channel! 🏵️ And telekinesis?? Time for "Carrie"(1976)!! 👸🏼

Chicago Artist Jon

The Invisible Man with Elisabeth Moss is pretty good.

Yorkshire Shaft

Dawny where did this come from not even seen it on your schedule lol. It's a good xmen film but the best superhero is batman in my eyes. One day you'll see Dark knight after batman begins then rate the rest after watching that one. Best superhero film by a mile in my opinion. Are you posting a schedule soon?

Dag Einar Bergli

Love that you're starting on Marvel, but I really hope you do Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy at some point too. Too good to miss.

Simon

Well that was a surprise. A pleasant one. Why did Magneto want to transfer his power to Rogue? Because the machine almost killed him when he mutated Senator Kelley. So he transfered to Rogue so he wouldn't die when mutating all of New York. And she did die, and Logan healed her. Is this the best place to start? Yes. It gets complicated, but don't stress and don't rush, we'll be at this for years now. X-men, Fantastic 4 with Jessica Alba, Daredevil with Ben Affleck and Spiderman with Tobey Maguire are probably the best place to begin.

Louis Marzullo

Is this the cinematic MCU of which you speak? Yes, I have heard tales of its complexity that have chilled my blood & pained my brain! 😄

Simon

Lol. It doesn't need to be. It's only complicated because of boring movies studio stuff

Chicago Artist Jon

Nice. I’m not a big fan of the comic book movies but I’m always entertained by them. So yeah, I’m looking forward to the journey.

Dag Einar Bergli

Technically if she wanted to start with the first good Marvel movie she should've started with Blade, but since Blade is not that connected to the rest of the Marvel movies I guess X-Men also works. She should definitely also react to Blade at some point tho. So good.

Bartleby

I’ll just say this. I’ve been a diehard longtime fan of the X-Men comics and universe since I was a little kid. These X-Men movies from Bryan Singer are all terrible! They do not represent what X-Men really is. The best of all the X-Men movies is “X-Men First Class” Directed by Matthew Vaughn.

Bartleby

She’s got to do things proper and start with Batman 89 directed by Tim Burton

Dag Einar Bergli

Sure, if she's going all out on DC too, then absolutely. But if she's picking "one" then make it the Nolan trilogy.

Bill W

Louis, this was from before the "MCU" as we now know it, existed. This was released by 20th Century Fox, which also distributed the later films like X-Men: First Class (2011). Separate from Marvel Studios... as Simon said, because of ...reasons. I enjoyed these movies despite their inaccuracy to the comic book storylines. I like the cast, I like the story and it looked really good. Beyond anything we came to expect at that point.

Louis Marzullo

Thanks, Bill. I've only seen one of the MCU series, I think, which was Avengers: Endgame & it left me as soon as I left the theater... I do hear good things about Logan but I think I'll just stick to my childhood memories of my favorite day of the month, when Amazing Spiderman, Avengers & Uncanny X-Men comics all came in the mail in that brown wrapper... And Dawn's reactions, of course!

Dag Einar Bergli

Nobody indeed. But maybe she doesn't feel like doing every comic book movie under the sun. That's why I said IF...Why the tood?

Louis Marzullo

Dawn, the numbers tattooed on young Magneto's arm in the concentration camp were how the Nazis identified individual Jews in the most dehumanizing way possible... And I'm sorry but Magneto is a cooler name than Magnet Man (and not just cuz it sounds Italian! 😄). I have to disagree with you once in awhile! 😁

Louis Marzullo

No schedule for the week. And wildfires bearing down on my area. I don't even have a job anymore & Mondays still suck! 🥴

Louis Marzullo

Dawn, when Xavier explains the school's mission to Logan, you started to cry because you intuitively understood "mutants" as a metaphor for all oppressed people who are mistreated simply for being "different" in some non-threatening way. You just can't help being an empath! (And a darn clever one!)👸🏼💖☺️

Louis Marzullo

Mystique is played by Rebecca Romijn, former swimsuit model. She was married to John Stamos for awhile. Nice-looking couple. 👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻

Louis Marzullo

Anyone hear anything from our man at McCluskey's precinct about Dawn?? 🍊🐴🚔😁
