So, I was 11 when this came out. It was so popular that it broke box office records. It was made as a stand alone movie, but its success prompted them to make more, and the whole 9 story structure with this being the middle trilogy. It was in theaters as just 'Star Wars' for nearly a year (if not over a year), then it was pulled for a short time, and returned as Episode IV: A New Hope, and played until just before the second film was released. My friends and I saw it every weekend. Sometimes multiple times. It became a contest to see who could see it the most times. I saw it over 100 times in the theater. Years later, I discovered the genius of Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. Many of his classic works have been adapted in different genres. (His 'Seven Samurai' (1954) inspired American western 'The Magnificent Seven' (1960/2016).) 'Star Wars' was inspired by Kurosawa's 'The Hidden Fortress' (1958). The thing that makes this film unique from previous space/alien films is that it doesn't involve Earth. all others involve us going out there and/or them coming down here.

Fantastic reaction, I absolutely loved it. I'm looking forward to more Star Wars and lots more Chewie impressions.
