You will need your own copy of the show to watch along! 😁

Because this one was filmed before we sorted out the syncing issues, you'll have to let me know how you get on with it 😁 hopefully it's fine but if not just let me know and I'll have a play about with it!

You've no idea the stress I had with this one last year 😅 so I'm very glad to finally be able to share! It will look slightly different, but I've tried my best to sort it all out! Hope you enjoy!

Good movie. Glad you watched it and enjoyed it. I don't care what people say, I will never call it a Christmas movie. There were no syncing issues. It all worked great. And it was nice seeing your old setup again. I'm really curious. This year you said you tried to upload two movies last year. Here you said three. I know what one of them is. But what was the other?

My guess it was Its A Wonderful Life, I think she said sometime it was black and white.

Eric Bonham

It's a Wonderful Life is the one I had already sussed out. I just didn't know what number two was going to be. It turns out it was Die Hard. But in the intro here, Dawn mentions a mysterious third movie.

Darrell Palmer

It synced up just fine and stayed in sync the whole way. That was so much fun and exactly what I needed to watch tonight. 🥳

Darrell Palmer

Die Harder also takes place at christmas and contains christmas stuff, but isn't quite up to the christmas movie level (it's been well over 20 years since I last watched it, so I'm trusting my memory on this one).

Yeah I had originally planned to do three but these two caused so many problems I didn't even film the third one. If I remember correctly it was Bad Santa, and you know me if I don't like the look of a movie I tend to put it off. This one will be put off til it's recommended again 🤣

Oh glad it synced fine! 😂 sorry seen your other comment first so replied to your question. Seeing my old setup makes me want stuff behind me in the new setup!

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Hans Gruber falling to his death...

Fantastic reaction Dawn. I love the Die Hard movies. I see you have the Quadrilogy box set. Die Hard 4.0 was followed by A Good Day to Die Hard (2013). Although Willis expressed interest in a sixth and final film, plans for a prequel film were cancelled following the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney in 2017, and Willis retired from acting in 2022, after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition which affects his ability to communicate. The movie is based on the 1979 novel, Nothing Lasts Forever, by Roderick Thorp. The fictional Nakatomi Plaza is the headquarters of 20th Century Studios, so the studio could use one of its own buildings and didn't have to hold back on stunts and action sequences. Some of the middle floors were occupied by legal and administrative departments, so only empty floors were used for filming. Still, the filming of scenes that involved gunfire had to be postponed until after hours because some of the employees from the active floors started to complain about the noise. Alan Rickman nearly passed up the role of Hans Gruber, which ended up being his first film role. He had only arrived in Hollywood two days earlier and was appalled by the idea of his first role being the villain in an action film. Bruce Willis suffered permanent hearing loss while 'shooting', no pun intended, a scene in the Nakatomi conference room. When McClane kills the terrorist, who said, "Next time you have a chance to kill someone, don't hesitate" by firing his Beretta through the conference table and jesting after, "Thanks for the advice!” he suffered severe damage to his left ear. The stunt weapons specialist engineered blanks to be extra loud and produce extreme muzzle flashes for dramatic effect. The close quarters under the table and the use of plexiglass to protect the actor from flying shell casings and wood splinters further increased the sound effect. Richard Gere, Sylvester Stallone, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Charles Bronson, Don Johnson, Richard Dean Anderson, Burt Reynolds, and Michael Madsen were considered but declined the role of John McClane.

Oh I had no idea he was retired or that he was diagnosed with aphasia. I think he’s a brilliant actor! Alan Rickman plays the villain very well! Very very well! Wow they must have been looking for something specific when they cast Bruce Willis then! I wonder if there will ever be a day that I post a video with a movie you know nothing about 😂 I hope not!
