One laugh after another in this episode. I agree it is sad that there were no more than 12 episodes, but that also makes them even more special. Another comedy that originally spanned just 12 episodes as Ricky Gervais's The Office. Yes Minister, Father Ted, Blackadder and I'm Alan Partridge are other comedies you could add to your list.

Thanks for the trip to Fawlty Towers Dawn. That was fun. It's hard to think of a series that would match it. Mr. Bean is good as is the IT Crowd but you may have already seen them. This will take some thought.

It is sad that there were only two series of Fawlty Towers. But John Cleese and Connie Booth, who wrote all the episodes, felt that they'd pretty much used up all the possibilities for original plots and if they went on they' d just be reusing the same jokes, so they decided not to make a third series. The difficulty of finding really original ideas is one reason that there were four years between the two series: Series 1 was in 1975 but Series 2 didn't come out until 1979. Here are a few other excellent UK comedy series you'll enjoy "Absolutely Fabulous," starring Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. Saunders plays Edina Monsoon, who owns her own small fashion PR business, and Joanna Lumley plays her boozing best friend, a fashion editor. Five regular series and a 20th Anniversary series of three episodes. "The Vicar of Dibley," starring Dawn French. She plays a vicar who is posted to a small village that is not ready for a woman vicar. Three regular series and several Christmas, Easter, and New Year specials. "Jeeves and Wooster," starring Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. Excellent adaptations of the stories of P.G. Wodehouse, one of Britain's most highly regarded comic authors. Set in the 1920s, Laurie plays Bertie Wooster, a good natured, not terribly bright, independently wealthy young man, and Fry plays Jeeves, his highly accomplished and brilliant valet. Hijinks ensue. Four regular series.

Just watched your "Nobody" reaction. You should watch a few episodes of the great 80s sitcom "Taxi." Christopher Lloyd, who plays the old man in "Nobody" plays a marvelous character in "Taxi," the Rev. Jim Ignatowski.

Soooo many people have said to watch The Office and I did enjoy Ricky Gervais in Afterlife so I'll definitely have to give it a go! I'll add the others to the list 😁

I just google Mr Bean cause I thought I'd seen them 😂 It's the cartoon version I've seen and a movie with a French boy!

Mr. Bean 15 episode British TV series 1990-1995. Not the cartoon and not the movies that came later. They are very popular, so I thought you might have seen them at some point. I think Rowan Atkinson is always hilarious. Mr Bean is such a jerk.
