Most reactors have just said, "Eww" or rolled their eyes to what Jayne says but you... "That's one for the..." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA NEVER expected THAT! I love your reactions Dawn and you can probably start looking at translations in that book you have now. The dictionary part is first, the translations are toward the end. Just don't look ahead, or at the dictionary yet and you won't get spoiled. Or just wait four more eps to open it... All up to you! Muah! ;*

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

"If it were any one of us Captain wouldn't hesitate." We also got a reference back in Bushwacked from the Fed commander about how Mal inspires loyalty in his crew and now we get a better look at how, because he would go to the mat for each of them. I think Wash had a bit of trouble understanding that but now he has his own "war buddy" bond with the captain and that's why he was so intent on getting him back "Bastard's not gonna get days😡" I think the idea is that Niska was able to just scamper away during all the confusion, creepy little weasel. If I absolutely had to pick a favourite episode I think this would be mine as well🤩

"Trash" is my favourite episode which you have not seen yet. I am suprised you like River, I thought she would Irritate you, i love her also. Summer Glea was also great in "The Sarah Connor Chronicles"

It seems they made a number of inferences that Jayne has internalized the lesson from Mal at the end of Ariel. The generosity with the apples, and his willingness to participate in the rescue could tie to his realization in the airlock that he cares what the crew thinks of him.

Mal also had to push Wash pretty hard at Niska's to help ignore the torture. I think it was telling about how fast Zoe picked up on Mal's joking about their needing to bed each other in front of Wash - he was making it clear that the conversation on the rack was not really true.

Rumpus Parable

This and Out of Gas are my favorite episodes. The torture scene is just great for both humor and heart between Mal and Wash. The end does the same with bringing the three of them around to a shared experience and joke. Wash has been largely on the outside and feeling it since the first episode.... the three of them all get new insights and connections with each other. I love how it ends with that shown by the first sign of real buddy-shit-giving we've ever had between the three.
