Can’t wait to watch, brings back a lot of memories

Never underestimate the healing power of laughter, Dawn! It really was delightful seeing you laugh so much watching this wacky fun film. This movie is a classic riot act of its time I've always liked! Unbelievable in some places, sure, but that's the joy of it, it's not meant to be real life. Just a joyful ride that REAL life certainly couldn't ever deliver upon to this level. Well done campy humor with good music is a fantastic watch with you, Dawn! Phenomenal film choice return to comedy and hearty laughter. I guess keeping comedy in the mix with action, drama, sci fi, mystery, etc is its own reward? Yet another grand reactions vid, as always! :)

......save Ferris

Ferris and Cameron are about 18, so they have licenses. You can get a learner's permit 15 1/2 in most places (think some states it can be older or younger). At 16 you have to take tests to get a full license. With a lerner's permit you can drive with someone who is 18 or older and has a license if I remember right. Been a long time since I got my license so I don't know what has changed, lol. They have also proven you don't get arthritis from knuckle popping, so we are fine :p

Danke Schoen Dawn Marie, Danke Schoen!

Other good Matthew Broderick movies: WarGames (1983) Project X (1987) Biloxi Blues (1988) Glory (1989) w. Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman The Cable Guy (1996) w. Jim Carrey The Producers (2005) I would say WarGames and Glory are "must see". John Hughes liked to film in Chicago's north suburbs... pretty affluent areas. Those are not normal size houses.

I love your action movie reactions and I enjoy westerns way more when watching with you. Comedy always golden but you can't go wrong with a bit of variety.

Simon

Loved that! I'm loving the westerns, but that was heaps of fun. I really really like Broderick in Godzilla. It's a fun romp movie. I belive he does most of his work on Broadway now.

Rick DeBaan

Families in this movie are all rich. Dirty Harry reference was to Clint Eastwoods series of movies where he is a Homicide detective in San Francisco. You would like those. Schools in America have a tradition called skip day (we called it ditch day) for seniors, where the whole class goes off on a planned trip. As Juniors (3rd yrs), our class (only 23 students) thought it was stupid since it was sanctioned. So we had our own ditch day, didn't tell anyone, which is hard for a whole class of high schoolers. It was a AWESOME day! So many activities, games and food. Whole class pulled together, rivalries and issues set aside. Because we knew if anyone in class complained about what happened that day we would be roasted by school and parents. As we presented a solid wall of solidarity and all we got was an F for the day. When this movie came out 1986 (our graduation year) we all saw it together as it reminded us of that day. So this movie holds a special place for me.

Simon

Is it weird that I watch these on patreon day and then watch them again on YouTube day?
